  2. Hope Ford can get you guys a new & improved tank soon!
  3. Post a pic so we can see what the issue is? Is it aligned on the fender side of the door? How much is it off? Closes with no problem?
  4. Sync may need to be updated, worst comes to worst, the APIM (which has an extended warranty) may need to be replaced. Did you get the window sticker? You can check the production date on it at the bottom (last 6 digits on line below item #): http://www.inventory.ford.com/services/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin= Another source of info (put in VIN under Vehicle tab): http://www.etis.ford.com We ran into transmission troubles with our '98 Blazer 4x4 before we gave it up. Engine continued to work fine. Some body rust too.
  5. It's Ford (not Lincoln) leather, you live in a hot/dry climate. If you are planning to keep the Edge for a substantial length of time, dress the leather well with a good leather cleaner/conditioner every couple of months. Should not be a lot of product required if done at these short intervals. Will maintain suppleness and looks.
  6. Welcome to the forum & Edge ownership, Mikey! Tell us a bit more of the backstory, how come you bought it out here in VA? What color is it? What do you like best so far, and what was your previous ride? Pics?
  7. Congrats on your '14 SEL, and welcome to the fold 3 years (maybe more) of fun & adventure to look forward to! What was your previous ride? Put up some pix!
  8. Very likely, but for under $30, at the very least you are looking at eye candy
  9. Car washes around here would basically shut down if the highs don't crack the freezing point, so I probably should get in a good wash 'n wax session before then as well! Keep an eye on the battery esp if leaving outdoors.
  10. Looks like Ford is in the process of acknowledging and implementing a replacement solution to this problem: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12839-serious-gas-tank-leak/page-3?do=findComment&comment=118764 http://www.usnews.com/news/business/articles/2014/10/29/ford-recalls-205-000-suvs-for-fuel-tank-leaks
  11. Oh man, REALLY sorry to hear! Best wishes for a full & speedy recovery!
  12. Wow, nice lookin' Edge! Welcome to the forum, sorry about your '06 Escape, hope you guys made it out of there OK.
  13. AEM makes products similar to K&N, probably better known in the F150 community. In fact, this filter was developed in collaboration with K&N. But it doesn't need to be oiled. Fits very nicely into the airbox. You don't need to buy their detergent to clean it either, bonus!
  14. Been a year since last air filter change. Still looks pretty new. But to scratch the mod itch, installed an AEM DryFlow filter Will see over time if any practical improvements result.
  15. Great way to break it in Slowly getting colder around here, no snow/ice yet tho.
  16. Welcome fellow Edge owner, all the way from the Lonestar state! Glad to have you here, and wise decision getting the wife a '13 Edge I assume the Yamaha Royal Star forum is a motorcycle forum? Post some pics of the Edge, and feel tree to tool around, ask questions, and contribute!
  17. I truly hope that is not the case here, omar! Maybe they have improved upon suspension & transmission sufficiently to raise the bar much higher for FWD
  18. Hoping for the city/hwy to be at least in the 20's, to keep up with the 2.0EB ...
  19. If you have DRLs currently (side flashers?) on the Edge, it might have the programming to allow the functionality to be moved to the LED strips instead at the dealer via IDS. But from what I have heard, most dealers don't know how to do it right the first time, so if you go in there prepared with instructions you are better off. PM jmr061, he may have a solution for you. (make 4 test posts here so you can use the PM functionality)
  20. OEM tires & wheels? One possibility: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14165-2013-edge-sport-pulling-to-the-right/?do=findComment&comment=109658 Another possibility is separated tread from tire, replace with a different brand than OEM. Such as Conti CrossContact or Yokohama Parada SpecX, etc.
  21. Is the EPA backlogged, or did Ford submit the vehicle/info late, do you know?
