  1. Should you decide to go the route of replacing the headlights with factory HIDs, this is what you would have to do a) Order the HID headlight assemblies. Cheapest would be Benny from Levittown Ford. Find a HID kit with D3S bulbs. Profit.
  2. For the vertical lights, contact kc300c. He has the kit (including wiring and instructions) for putting those lights on your SE. For the halos, contact whiteis33. He would need a housing to modify for you.
  3. That looks like it's on the inside of the projector itself. If it is outside the projector but inside the housing, there is no easy way to clean that.
  4. I just added Pinnacle XMT 180 to my stable. Reminds me of Souveran, but less expensive.
  5. Got my new detailing goodies today. Plan to test my interior items tomorrow.
  6. For grins, I tested the XMT 180 on my die-cast model of a 1965 GTO. The first thing I noticed about this wax was the scent. It reminded me of Grape Kool-Aid. Scent notwithstanding, this is one of the easiest to apply waxes. In fact, it is as easy as Souveran but almost 70 bucks cheaper. As for the gloss, well.....see for yourself......
  7. From the album: PrinzII's '08 Edge SE, '11 Limited, and '18 SEL

Model GTO waxed with Pinnacle XMT 180.

  8. Tell me about it. I may have to work with a friend of mine to clean the motor. I really will need to seal my HID connections to make sure that no water gets in them.
  9. RMP: I would consider doing the fingernail test. If the scratch catches your fingernail, it will be too deep for you to take out with PlastX.
  10. WW: A little over 2 years before the left one blew. The right one worked fine. I decided to replace both bulbs for consistency in color. As for what's been done lately, let's just say I have added to my AZ detailing supply stash.
  11. It's been a while since I posted in this thread. Let me give you a quick update. a) Decided to go with Pinnacle XMT 180 instead of P21S. I know P21S doesn't have as deep of a shine versus many of the Pinnacle products. Got my 303 protectant for the interior c) Ordered a Schmitt for cleaning the vinyl and leather seats
  12. Just ordered Pinnacle XMT Wax for my Edge. Will let you know how I like it.
  13. Saturday: Drove to Tucson and back Sunday: Rest Today: Replacing burned out HID bulb
  14. I drove to Tucson yesterday and it was 100+ outside. The tires held up very well, even with my "spirited" driving. My back seat passengers remarked on how smooth the ride was. My wife agreed and understood why I wound up choosing these over the Pirellis. As for the fuel economy, it has dropped around 1 mpg.
  15. I installed one in my 2011 Limited. As stated, it only took a few minutes.
  16. I saw the video atop this post. It is very wierd that a Type 2 would behave that way.
  17. Recommended harness is the one from TRS. From what I have been reading, the DDM harness is not that good.
  18. Wannabang, I am going through a ballast issue with my vendor but he's sending me a new one along with two bulbs (not free due to them being out of warranty). But judging by what I read, that's a little too much just to verify that a ballast has gone bad when all that may be required is to switch the ballasts around to see if that's the culprit. In fact, it reminds me of toning a network jack. The next question is how much they are charging for that ballast. Are you still within warranty?
  19. When I got my 2011, it had DRLs but was not Canadian (Found out that Cali had a DRL law). After I got the capacitor and warning canceller, my HIDs worked fine.
  20. For those who have halogen lights, here are a couple of options.... a) Buy a HID kit with 9012 bulbs (TRS/Morimoto would be your best bet) Buy the HID headlight assemblies, D3S HID kit
