After updating my wife's S3 to 4.3, I had to re-pair it to the system. I did not have to do that with my S4 after it got updated. Very wierd.

Another possiblility is the version of Android. Did you get the 4.3 update for your phone?

When you said it did not work, could you tell me exactly what happened? What kind of flash drive did you use? How was it formatted? To find the version you currently have on Syncmyride.com, you would log in and it will be shown by the vehicle information on the right hand side. For instance, mine will say 3.6 which is the latest version.

I was entertaining this swap on my Edge but I think the easier (and less headache inducing) path would be to buy the capsules, replace the projectors, and use a TRS kit.

The challenge is if you want a color temperature other than the stock 4150-4300K. D3S bulbs are a bit difficult to find in other temps. TRS does not carry them.

I was having the same issue but it got cured by deleting and then re-pairing the phone. Now, mine works fine.

You would need to find a 4300k D3S bulb with the igniter on the back. Changing is much like any other bulb.

Did you put a capacitor on the system?

For me, there is more involved than streaming. Whilst I agree that I could connect a plethora of other devices, I prefer my HTPC in that I can do more with it than the limited scope of the devices mentioned. For instance, a Mac Mini, while good for streaming still does not have enough storage capacity other than any given external storage device you connect to it. As for my desktop, whilst your arguments may be valid, I have not had any issues running AMD and have done so for many years. Am I a fanboy? No. Even Intel processors have their limitations.
