  1. I was going to go that route but I like having the smartcord mute and program options. I have mine mounted just below the steering column which is incredibly accessible.
  2. I just wanted to give this thread a bump! I finally got around to installing an escort detector and at first tried tying it to fuse 20 for the radio and found out that this would not work because the detector would never shut off. Fuse 37 did the trick, Thanks!
  3. Cellbine's lights are back up for sale, the lights are awesome but I have a limited and want to stay with HIDs. Please refer to the following post http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18285-wts-dynamikillu51ons-custom-headlights/ for complete details. If interested, please contact me.
  4. These lights are back up for sale. Please contact me if interested. I guess I should of looked and read a bit closer but I thought these were HIDs... The good news is that the lights are in the USA for much quicker delivery!
  5. I saw those, issue is that I have a pair of OEM headlights I need to sell/trade first. Otherwise, I would have your set, my own customized set, and a spare OEM set! I do like those though... I wish I had that type of money!
  6. Also, did you find replacement OEM lights? I just posted a set which I used when I had Asad making my custom lights. If not, maybe we could come up with something...
  7. How do these work? Are they controlled with a remote/phone or are they wired to come on with your drls?
  8. I have a pair of headlights from my 2011 ford edge limited which I no longer need because I replaced them with custom ones. These are extremely difficult to find in good condition. They are in great condition, normal wear and tear but there are no scratches to the lens or chrome. I did repair a tab on one of them... These do not come with the HIDs or ballasts, however the passenger side light still has a ballast attached but I am not sure if it works or not. Should fit 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 models. If anyone is interested, feel free to contact me.

  11. Has anyone decided to purchase these? I am looking to replace the ones I had done by whiteis33 and these look rather promising.
  12. I exited my Edge and walked away. Heard what sounded like a few beeps from the alarm but figured it was not my car. Walked back out to try to start the Edge, everything turned on ( AC, Lights, etc ) pressed ignition button and everything turns black and does not start. I am guessing this is an alarm thing? i've tried waiting 10-15 minutes. Tried putting fob in the special slot. Did not try removing negative from battery as I did not have a wrench with me. Any ideas what this may be or how to solve this? I am praying after work that I walk back and the thing starts? Thanks!
  13. I ordered some Iron-X and used it this past weekend. It was the best money ever spent. It quickly removed those spots and other odd imperfections. I would highly recommend this stuff!
  14. Thanks for the great comments and suggestions! The Edge is holding up nicely through the summer. I've had a few issues with the new headlights but we are working through them as they arise. I finally finished all the mods I had left which were unfinished ( lowered the front license plate bracket, removed the iron rail dust, and finished the back black and white Ford Logo ), waxed it up and took a few snapshots of the finished product, at least for awhile! This was an expensive project but honestly, the car looks insane. I couldn't be happier:)
  15. Here are some pictures of the lights and new front end. Amazing what a difference going from all chrome to all black has made. Much happier with the overall look.
  16. Lights came in this morning. Tore bumper apart. Removed Chrome grill parts and installed new black ones. P-dipped chrome on top of lights and center piece above grill. Installed a black and white Ford emblem. Here are a few pictures.
  17. Got bored tonight and ran outside from the screaming kids and quickly plasti-dipped the chrome stripe down the side and under the windows. 5 coats of black and 4 clear coat made. Gotta admit, this took no time at all, 80 minutes total and looks fantastic. Totally changes the look. I am also attaching a sneak peak what Whiteis33 is doing for me. This is only half of it but it looks very promising.
  18. They do have 5k bulbs, that is actually what I replaced my OEM ones with and they are awesome. http://www.ebay.com/itm/230453850329?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Hopefully, I will be getting my headlights back from White33 this weekend and I can begin the rebuild of my front end.
  19. White33 received my lights yesterday and hopefully will start working on them this week. I did indeed see your video and loved it. I didn't want to have identical lights as you, so we are going a slightly different route and will post pictures and hopefully a similar video as yours once its complete. I actually grabbed two lights off Ebay, intending to have those directly shipped to White but an error had them sent here instead. So I was able to send him my originals, which are in perfect condition and hopefully I can do something fun with the Ebay ones once I get mine back. When all is said and done, I am hoping to be able to switch looks of my car depending on how I feel for that season ( black/white or chrome/white )
  20. Ended up ordering MGR caliper covers. They are actually bit bigger than I had imaged but they look pretty decent. Much better than the camo ones:) In other news, I watched Cellbine's bumper and light videos and managed to remove my bumper, remove both lights, install two temporary lights, and reinstall the bumper in a little over an hour. This was completely solo. Great videos Cellbine, huge help. Hopefully by the end of this next week, I will be installing my new lights and new grill.
  21. Picked up my car last year and noticed a few very tiny rust looking spots on the white tri coat paint job. Just washed my car and noticing a ton more. Has anyone seen this before? Seems like a pretty big issue to me if they are indeed rust? How do I get rid of these, lightly buffing? I am attaching a couple of photos but you have to look closely. Thanks,
  22. I just replaced my HID OEM bulbs(4300k and replaced with 5000k) this week. It took a good 45 minutes to get the first one changed and then took all of 2 minutes for the second one. Most people say remove the bumper then light to get at the bulb better but this is what I did: 1) remove the back of the headlight to get to the bulb ( its a black circle about 5 inches in diameter, you can turn it either clock-wise or counter clock-wise 2) Use a pair of needle nose pliers and wiggle the wiring( the wiring just below the bulb and attaches the bulb to the ballast ) back and forth while applying pressure downwards. This should come apart rather quickly if enough pressure is applied 3) Now remove the bulb which is currently in the housing - I can't remember which direction for this but it was easy enough to figure out 4) place the new bulb in and twist it accordingly 5) place the wiring back on the bulb, using the needle nose pliers and upwards pressure - mine went back on pretty easily 6) twist the back cover on It takes a bit of patience but once you figure out the first one the next one is extremely simple. Wish I had taken pictures! Good luck.
  23. Added the following this week 1) replaced front turn signals with switchbacks white/amber 2) replaced OEm 4300k HIDs with 5000ks 3) painted calipers black using the G2 system Front lighting looks pretty sharp now when you combine the above two changes with the DRLs. I've also spoken to Whiteis33 and he will be receiving my headlights Monday to customize. I ordered some decals for the calipers but I think painting them black was a pretty bad decision, they simply blend in too much. I am going to see what the white Ford Edge decals look like before repainting. I didn't want to paint them white or red because I felt like it would stick out a bit too much but black simply blends in too much. What have you guys done in regards to painting or covers and what colors? Next week, I should have my grill back from the paint shop, Tuxedo Black and I will hopefully be able to install that with the new headlights.
