  1. Are you looking for OEM or aftermarket? Mine came with an OEM. You should be able to get a part # for it off of accessories.ford.com. If aftermarket then I would have to search around.
  2. Turning it off/on is not a native function of IDS. They will be clueless unless they are provided the file and instructions. You would be better off getting Forscan and an adapter and doing it yourself.
  3. If you can get your hands on IDS or Forscan and appropriate hardware you can.
  4. Anything can happen to any vehicle. Its just the luck of the draw. I would say they certainly are making a concerted effort to fix the vehicle...of course I am looking at it from the outside with only limited information. You could have a vehicle with an odd quirk or perhaps even though they are giving good faith effort to repair it, their mechanical and troubleshooting skills are lacking. Hard to say for sure. Ultimately you need to sit back and take all things into consideration and decide your next step, You are fortunate to a certain extent with your loaner. While it may not get as good as gas mileage it def. is a nice vehicle. Many dealers would stick you with some 15 year old piece of junk...
  5. The vehicle should never honk when you leave it running with the IA fob in it unless you attempt to lock the door. The double horn honk delete that you are referring to is when you have the IA fob on you and you exit the vehicle with it running and close the door. Its a safety feature but also can be embarrassing to have it happen in a public lot or at 4am in your driveway and you wake up the neighbors etc. That is the first thing I changed when I got the Edge.
  6. Well I will say that for issue #1, the P0456 code they should have immediately performed the TSB instead of waiting for round 2. Other than that quick overview looks like they are certainly attempting to correct the issue rather than blow it off. EVAP stuff can be tricky to nail down sometimes.
  7. On the paperwork there has to be some detail as to the code(s) it is throwing etc. Tell us what they have "diagnosed" and done.
  8. Well apparently the proper way is to take the mirror apart first. Seems like a big task but it is actually fairly simple. I still had the "wedge" problem though and found if I put a screwdriver on the opposite side of the release tab and "pushed/pulled" hard enough the back side dropped out and then using the release tab, came out no problem.
  9. Google search also indicates SCT has been able to remote in to your computer with the SCT attached to the computer and fixed it. Give SCT a call on the phone.
  10. Aug 23 2016 3579 - 2015-2016 Edge - Roof Opening Panel Slow To Close Some 2015-2016 Edge vehicle may exhibit a roof opening panel that is slow to close. This may be caused by dirt or debris in the roof opening panel main and/or idler tracks or an issue with the roof opening panel main track assembly or idler track assembly. Engineering is currently investigating this concern. Continue to monitor OASIS for updates.
  11. Did you have any issues getting the OEM puddle lights out of the mirror housing? I played with mine a bit today and they wedge themselves after getting them out a bit. Thinking of getting some LED puddles to replace the OEM ones.
  12. Oh I see...still don't think that is possible. That is all within the roof mechanism itself which has no programmable modules.
  13. I am just curiuos how everyone is arriving at their MPG rating? Is it by the MPG stated in the cluster or are you doing it the old fashioned way of gallons@pump/miles driven? My cluster MPG has been 1 to 1.5 MPG over the actual gallons@pump/miles driven calculation. BTW I have been very happy with my results. On the HWY I have seen over the 24 MPG rated on the window sticker. This is the first vehicle I have owned that gets better than the sticker rating.
  14. The time the radio stays on with a press of the power button is a programmable setting that can only be accessed with equipment that can hit the APIM such as Forscan. I believe the max time is 60 minutes.
  15. As far as using Forscan, its on a computer and you need the extended license. I have a VCM2 so I don't use one of the cheaper adapters. Visit the forscan website and do a bit of research and you likely will find your answers as far as hardware/software that you need.
  16. I do have a Livernois tune in it. Global windows on the 16 are only the fronts.
  17. At the end of July I purchased an Electric Spice 2016 Ford Edge Sport 401A with most if not all the additional options. Wanted to compile of list of things I have done to it: Hardware: Draw-Tite 75234 Class 3 Hitch with Trailer Light Wiring Kit AVS Low Profile Vent Visors #894035 AVS Aeroskin Hood Protector #322115 Wheel Lock Kit GR3Z-1A043-A Front Splash Guard Kit FT4Z-16A550-A JDM ASTAR AMBER LED FRONT PARK/TURN SIGNAL Pro-Clip USA Cell Phone Mount Remote Access Kit (Cell Phone control of remote start/lock/unlock) H15 Cree LED DRL Bulb Blackvue DR650S-2CH Dashcam System Software Modification (via IDS/Forscan) Added "Climate" to right side of Instrument Cluster Enabled and added Global CLOSE windows to Vehicle Settings in Instrument Cluster Added Heated Steering Wheel/Heated/Cooled Seat functions to HOME screen on SYNC3 Disabled Hyper-Flash for front turn signal (ie - disabled Lamp Detection Outage) Disabled Double Horn-Honk when leaving running vehicle with IA fob Current Project is to add OEM style Fog Lamps. I have the electronic side of things figured out (converted to a headlamp switch that turns on the fog lamps and enabled the fog lamp function in the instrument cluster) but having a lot of difficulty locating OEM fog lamp mounts. The kits advertised all over that have the fog lamp hole in the bezel don't have a mount for the light itself. I will add some pics when the weather clears up a bit...raining here.
  18. Remote access is currently $50/yr. What is remote access? This is an add on system that includes the VSS (vehicle security system/ FT4Z-19A361-A) and RMU ( cell receiver/DL3Z-19A390-B ) and when installed and activated allows the owner to control remote start/lock/unlock from a smartphone app or anything with internet access via webpage. Both parts are required even if you have the "perimeter alarm" built into the vehicle. I should add that while I know for a fact the RMU has a GPS in it...the app does NOT allow you to know the location of the vehicle (the FIND function just honks the horn and flashes the lights). If your vehicle already has remote start this is a plug and play kit except for the activation of the cell modem which must be done by a ford dealer. I believe Levittown Ford is a sponsor here and can get you the kit cheap and activate it over the phone with you. I am not associated with Levittown but have heard good things about them. I transferred mine from my 16 Explorer to my 16 Edge when I bought it. The Edge wasn't that fun to put in. My arm had lots of scratches from trying to contort itself up to the gateway module where the VSS plugs in-line to. It can be done by the end user but be prepared for the fun of the install, lol. If you have an Edge without factory remote start this kit can still be added but a dealer needs to physically hook up to your vehicle and enable remote start and the security system.
  19. ANC cancels out engine noise in the Edge I believe as opposed to the F150 which has ESE which pumps more engine noise in. But yes I believe it can be manually turned off with programming. ANC - 2.7L Only ANC is an audio system feature that eliminates a certain range of low frequency engine noise within the passenger compartment typically induced under wide open throttle or heavy part-throttle conditions. The system uses 3 microphones, a DACMC (contained within the ACM), and the audio system speakers. The DACMC determines the noise frequency to be canceled based upon engine rotation speed data, engine torque data, and accelerator pedal position data from the PCM, as well as microphone input signals. The ANC microphones are located in the headliner and monitor the engine noise resonating in the passenger compartment. The microphones transmit this noise as analog signals to the DACMC (contained within the ACM), where they are converted into digital signals by the integrated analog/digital converter. The digital signals are processed and an inverted phase sound wave with the same amplitude as the original sound is created. This new sound is converted into an analog audio signal, transmitted to the DACMC internal tone generator, and output by the ACM to the audio DSP module as fluctuating AC voltage. The audio DSP module sends the signal to the LHF door speaker, RHF door speaker, and subwoofer speaker as fluctuating AC voltage.
  20. I am sure a company with the expertise could easily design an injection molded assembly that has mounting brackets built in. Of course there has to be the demand for it.
  21. I called them on the phone to see what would be needed to mount them and you nailed it on the head...so why sell it, that's my question lol.
  22. I thought the headlamp switch was going to be the main obstacle. I contacted the place with the bezel that I linked and there are no mounting tabs/brackets on it for a fog light to attach to. All it does is have a hole for the fog lamp. So trying to figure out what to do next with that issue.
  23. Sometimes sacrafices have to be made for progress, lol. I destroyed the Explorer switch but did so to figure out how things come apart. I transferred the guts to the Edge headlamp switch and now have it all back together and functioning. Now to order the bezels from the state side: http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Ford-Edge-Signature-Style-LED-DRL-Lamps-p/70-803.htm Just figuring out what fogs to put in them and then the wiring of them.
