  1. Being an MKC you should have been able to update over WIFI. the 16 MKC and 16 Navigator seem to be the only models that have fully been released on WIFI.
  2. For those of you with 15/16 that have Forscan you may want to try to test 720-04-01 xxxX xxxx xxxx by adding 4 to the X value and writing it. The Edge IPC will accept the change but I don't know if it functions. What does this do....it should add "silent mode" to the vehicle settings. This will turn on dark car and possibly kill the DRL (not the little lights up front though). Give it a try and report back. I'd test it but my car isn't in a position to do that right now. Also see if it allows the cluster and center stack lighting to actually turn off when dimmed all the way down...don't think it will but worth a test.
  3. wow what the heck did you do...remove the rubber mat, trim tool under easily accessible short end, pry it up a little so it pops out just a little then the tougher side since its right up against the edge and pop that edge out and viola comes right out. Probably have to hold the first side that popped out while doing the 2nd side so it doesn't fall back in. You will have an almost impossible time if you try to pry it out by the long sides.
  4. Been working with @SweetcandyEdge and we got his OEM NAV working again...reverted the actual sync version to 1.1 and nav began working. I suspect what 2.2 does is "re-map" no pun intended the navigation maps or how it accesses them. This is an educated guess only. It appears his didn't do this for some reason. He is going to try 2.2 again to see if it works this time.
  5. For those with NAV issue do a master reset. Some have noted it takes a while for NAV to come back after the upgrade. You were at V1 or 1.1 before hand correct?
  6. Correct I released it here first and then the F150 forum. Because of the large number of members on the F150 it took off like wild fire there and spread to many other forums. Its being hosted via multiple download locations.
  7. Hope you guys are enjoying it....sounds like no one has had any install issues. Most of the issues seems to come from not researching how AA and CP function.

  13. I will be posting a dropbox link within the hour for those with Navigation models to upgrade to V2.2
  14. Ok it is time to spill the beans...I spent about 12 hours today messing with this stuff today. Ford had ditched V1.1 a couple weeks ago on the dealer side but it was back this morning after the weekly Saturday night downtime. I decided to check different vehicle lines and found that some 16 Lincoln's with V1 were eligible for V2.2 upgrade on the dealer side. I did "legitimate" dealer upgrades on the bench to one nav and one non-nav unit. The NAV unit went flawless. A beautiful upgrade. I saved the USB upgrade for this. Then I did the Non-Nav. Failure....it ran out of "space" for the update. For those that don't know the non-nav units have an 8MB daughter board inside and the NAV units have 32 MB daughter boards in them. So figuring that the update applications and existing applications together were taking up too much room I split the non-nav update in half. Messy but it gets the job done. I tested this on 3 bench units successfully. The non-nav update will only work on 16 models (V1 and 1.1). It fails on 17s that came with V2.0. I suspect the memory structure is different in the 17 non navs than the 16 non navs. I will probably take one apart and see what size is on the daughter board. The nav update works on 16 and 17 nav units (1.0,1.1,2.0,2.1). BTW I checked the owner site for those same Lincolns and no dice on a download there.
  15. The good news is the NAV upgrade works flawlessly. They do not include map updates just as an FYI. The non-nav on the other hand is a different story. The OEM download fails but I have split it into two separate updates and it appears to work fine then. So basically it appears I have V2.2 upgrades functional.
  16. Well...it does appear Ford has started the roll out. I am working on something right now. It is dealer side only and not all vehicles have the upgrade showing up. I have spent a good portion of the morning investigation and experimenting...more to follow later but do remember its football day and I have to take care of the snow lol.
  17. I am not saying that I forgive Ford or am not upset with them. It is what it is as they say. Complaining isn't going to change anything much less plastering your distaste all over different forums. THEY ARE AWARE PEOPLE ARE PISSED!!!
  18. Owners are frustrated and Ford is aware of that but yet you feel you need to take it out on some poor internet chat person who has absolutely zero control over the release of it. With this being your only post I think the admin here should block you as well. You wasted my time by having me come visit for a useless reply. I really don't care if you want to buy another Ford or not. When the release is out a useful post (probably more than one) will be made on this thread.
  19. I checked the service manual and the FCIM (thats what it is called) doesn't take programming for the 13. Its just swap it out. I don't see why it wouldn't work but don't know for sure until someone tries it. The no programming is good news.
  20. V1.1 is no longer available to dealers. One can only speculate it has been removed in preparation for a newer upgrade.
