  1. From Ford info on SYNC 3: Use Recent Destinations to select from your last 25 navigation destinations. Note: Previous destinations cannot be individually deleted from SYNC 3. To delete previous destinations use the “Master Reset” found in the Settings Tab.
  2. Power when the key is on and ground...along with dimmer wire from the parking lights. No software control over them at all.
  3. Signature lights are hardwired...there is no computer control over them.
  4. Can't help with that but did you get new TPMS valve stems? If you were using them on the Explorer winter wheels they won't work on the Edge.
  5. That is how it is designed. You are running a different system when you go into CarPlay or AA and you lose SYNC functionality such as that.
  6. V1.0 does not have AA. Version 2.0 and above incorporate AA and CP.
  7. The issue is caused by some contacts in the throttle body getting dirty causing increased electrical resistance. There are more than one model year and model affected but yet some get a replacement and some get reprogramming. I am paraphrasing but that is the gist of it. Come to your own conclusion.
  8. There is actually a TSB out now on this issue. TSB 16B32 which covers the 15 Edge build dates of September 1, 2015 through December 21, 2015. Rather than replacing the TB the fix is a reprogram of the PCM.
  9. Yes for carplay you need the correct updated USB hub and the 2.0 update (yet to be released). I have a few of the correct USB hubs for the Edge if anyone is looking. Giving away at cost.
  10. It wouldn't be cheap but wondering if anyone has thought about doing this or is interested in it? Options would be go to non nav or nav with the prospect of AA/Carplay when the software release finally comes out or do AA/Carplay now?
  11. No...Connect is additional hardware separate from the APIM.
  12. My 16 Edge can't even find obvious perpendicular parking spaces, parallel is fine. Frankly its a joke.
  13. The current 2.0 APIM is a different hardware part number than the 1.0 version.
  14. Later production 16s (roughly sometime in July) began shipping with software v2.0 which contains AA and CarPlay. So if you don't have one of those you are at the mercy of Ford's official software update release which as mentioned before is said to be before the end of the year. Keep in mind that have pushed back the release date estimate at least once, maybe more.
  15. I doubt you will see it wireless. No way for Ford to do the Apple authentication. Ford would have to modify the APIM.
  16. BTW I have the 2.0 APIM and usb port installed in the vehicle now to do some testing
  17. Text message doesn't show messages but will read new ones. Just like it is now. And no, no keyboard in park either. I would suggest watching some youttube videos on the use of Carplay...its standard across all platforms....at least it is supposed to be.
  18. I would just like to add based on a few minutes playing around with carplay....if you have NAV built into your vehicle...carplay seemed pointless (played with it on my bench setup). The Ford Pandora app is 100 times better then using Pandora in carplay. I am sure I will experiment some more but initial impression...blah. If you don't have NAV and can put up with Apple Maps then this might be a good option for you.
  19. I received my back-ordered 2 port USB hub today. Works fine with an original 2.0 APIM and Carplay. Part#GJ7Z-19A397-B
  20. That sucks...love using travel link on trips for finding gas stations along the way and pricing.
