  1. Not sure if it has been mentioned anywhere but 17s are showing up at dealers now.
  2. If you currently have this problem disconnect the battery for 15 seconds and reconnect. This will likely solve it however if this a reoccurring issue then it will probably happen again. You don't have anything hooked up to the diagnostic port do you or access the vehicle programming via the diagnostic port?
  3. https://accessories.ford.com/vehicles/edge/2015/electronics/remote-start.html The antenna in the middle is not for North American 2015 Edge vehicles as I mentioned above. Do you see the first two?
  4. No...you have to purchase the post factory kits...visit accessories.ford.com
  5. That is for the old body style 11-14. The reason it likely shows 15 is the 11-14 platform was still used for some countries in 15. North America the 15-16 are the same and 11-14 are the same. In the Edge the gateway module that the post-factory OEM kit plugs into is way up under the dash to the upper right steering column. Kinda a pain to get to. It doesn't plug or "T" into the obd connector.
  6. In order to add remote start visit accessories.ford.com and look up your vehicle and it will show what you need. 2015/16 Edges that come from the factory have fobs that operate on 902mhz. Vehicles that do not have fobs that operate on 315mhz.
  7. Were you pressing and holding the close button once it stopped 8 inches from closing?
  8. Yes trouble codes look like that. It if you got the Check Adaptive/Active Steering Message in the cluster AND it has CB100 (any variant) in the SECM then you get a new steering wheel which contains the SECM (steering effort control module). BTW the TSB says the old steering wheel goes in the garbage...Ford doesn't even want them back.
  9. There is another TSB that just came out: Nov 3 2016 3960 - 2016 Edge/MKX - Adaptive/Active Steering - Check Adaptive/Active Steering Message Illuminated With DTC C1B00 See TSB: 16-2066 for details. It calls for replacing the steering wheel: Issue: Some 2016 Edge/MKX vehicles equipped with adaptive/active steering may exhibit a check adaptive/active steering message illuminated in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1B00 stored in the steering effort control module (SECM).
  10. Nov 2 2016 3947 - 2016 Edge/MKX - Adaptive/Active Steering Fault Message With DTCs U3000, C2003, B137F, B1380, U210A, And U2000 In The Steering Effort Control Module (SECM) Some 2016 Edge/MKX vehicles may exhibit an illuminated adaptive/active steeringfault message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U3000, C2003, B137F, B1380, U210A, and U2000 stored in the SECM. If DTC U3000:96 is present, the SECM must be replaced. If DTC U3000:96is not present, reprogram the SECM to the latest calibration using Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) release 102.05 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraftservice.com. Use causal part3600 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) manual.
  11. Looks like they add a little more protection than other brands (weathertech)
  12. That is a really early version, before I got into working on this stuff. I seem to recall that early versions required the dealer to update for the first major update. This may be the case with yours. Perhaps someone with some earlier experience can confirm or deny that? If you PM me your VIN I can look at your vehicle record.
  13. What version are you currently running? You have MFT correct? Can you be more specific than it didn't work? Did you get an error or something? Did it even attempt to update?
  14. Considering your location no one probably has the correct update file with the proper language format anyway unless you are running the standard North American English version. The more information you provide the more likely you are to get assistance. There are numerous upgrade setups for SYNC 2 (MFT).
  15. pull the hub out and see if coffee or soda got spilled all over it

  17. I have the 1.1 update available for DL...its over 500mb though. Send me a PM.
  18. Customer Satisfaction Program 16B23 Certain 2011-2012 Model Year Edge and MKX Vehicles Equipped with 3.5L or 3.7L Engines, and 2011-2012 Model Year Mustang Vehicles Equipped with 3.7L Engines Electronic Throttle Body Replacement PROGRAM TERMS This program will be in effect through September 30, 2017. There is no mileage limit for this program. AFFECTED VEHICLES Edge/MKX 2011-2012 Oakville July 1, 2010 through October 29, 2010 Mustang 2011-2012 Flat Rock March 22, 2010 through November 30, 2010 REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM In some of the affected vehicles, the electronic throttle body (ETB) internal motor contacts may develop contamination resulting in increased electrical resistance. If this condition is present, the wrench light or malfunction indicator lamp will illuminate and the vehicle may enter a Failure Mode Effects Management (FMEM) of default throttle position with fixed RPM. In this mode, while engine power and vehicle speed are reduced, the power steering, power braking, lighting, and climate control systems are maintained. SERVICE ACTION Dealers are to replace the ETB. This service must be performed on all affected vehicles at no charge to the vehicle owner.
  19. This has nothing to do with MFT. MFT gets a bad rap for many other vehicle functions. MFT is just part of the infotainment center. It isn't the brains of the entire vehicle.
  20. I wouldn't worry about 1.1 unless you have some issue going on. Whether or not future updates will be OTA, I do not know but I can confirm they have a code for it (OTA) in the Sync update history available to do dealers.

  22. UPDATED – 4/27/17 TO MY KNOWLEDGE FORD HAS RELEASED VERSION 2.2 TO ALL FORD VEHICLES. PLEASE CHECK THE FORD OWNER SITE FOR YOUR UPDATE (http://owner.ford.com/) , LET IT UPDATE VIA WIFI OR VISIT YOUR DEALER. I wanted to get something written up for those 16+ SYNC3 owners to have some quick reference to. In regards to CarPlay and Android Auto…YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PHONE CONNECTED VIA USB. SYNC 3 Version Releases Version 1.0 - Initial Release Version - Does not contain Android Auto/CarPlay Version 1.1 – Early update for Version 1.0 to correct minor bug issues Version 2.0 - Only available on late build models of the 2016s (roughly July 2016). Version 2.0 is the first build to contain Android Auto and CarPlay. This is also standard on early build 2017 models. Please note if you have a 2016 model you will need a new CarPlay compliant USB hub to utilize CarPlay. No way around it. Version 2.2 build 16280 – This was initially released as an update for some 2016 Lincoln models in Dec. 2016. In Feb. 2017 I noticed that most Fords/Lincolns were being shipped from the factory with 2.2 in them. Version 2.2 does contain CarPlay/Android Auto. This has been referred to as hacked, leaked, etc. This is a legitimate release. It just wasn’t released for all models. Version 2.2 build 17011 – This is the widely released update for SYNC3 (as of late April 2017). This is what will be available for your vehicle via the owner site/WIFI update/Dealer update if your vehicle qualifies for it. THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE INSTALLING. You are able to check your version by going into the General icon and then ABOUT menu item. The version is listed at the top and not to be confused with gracenote or navigation version. If installing by USB it seems SYNC3 is very picky with what type of USB flash drive is used. It is hit or miss as to if the system will like your USB flash drive. My suggestion is if the installation fails do a master reset and use a different USB flash drive. REMEMBER FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE OWNER SITE FOR USB INSTALLATION. If further information pertaining to this topic is received I will attempt to update this original thread. I would like to ask that opinions about Apple versus Android be kept out of this and the keep the topic on task. LIST OF CONFIRMED CARPLAY COMPLIANT USB HUBS THAT FIT 2016 EDGE: GJ7Z-19A387-B (WHITE BACKLIGHTING) via JMR061 HC3Z-19A387-B (BLUE BACKLIGHTING) via KOMANDREW. Should you have V2.2 build 16280 installed and you feel it necessary to upgrade to V2.2 build 17011 get your hands on either the nav or non nav build 17011 update. Change the AUTOINSTALL File so it looks like the following. You can open it and modify it in NOTEPAD. ; Gen 3 - Assembly Update [sYNCGen3.0_ALL] Item1 = HN1T-14G381-SA Open1 = SyncMyRide\HN1T-14G381-SA.tar.gz Options = AutoInstall
