    So, my common sense meter says to leave it dirty. Once it fills with dirt the weight difference shouldn't change much... in theory. Now that you cleaned it and balanced it, once you drive it and it gets dirty it's going to be WAY out of balance.

    So if one has a new AWD, why not use a Pella oil extractor and get the stock crap oil out and fill with better stuff and change often and you'll never have to add a drain plug?

    So far on the first tank we're at 23.5 mpg. But mostly highway, back roads. AWD 2.0

    I use a Pella oil extractor on my other vehicles with belly covers. They work great. Tube goes into the dip stick hole and you pump the oil out. Every few oil changes I drain from the bottom to get the sludge that may build up. I haven't used it on the Edge yet so I can't comment on how well it works. Our Edge is brand new.

    My new 2015 SEL lists 'universal garage door opener' on the window sticker but the visor doesn't have homelink or any other buttons. Is there any other place I need to look? ???

    Old thread, new vehicle. 2015 Edge SEL. Window sticker says.... Optional Equipment/Other... universal garage door opener. I have no homelink visor. ??? Problem fixed. Dealer to install visor.

    15 has indicator on the dash and it colors the gear you're in, in red.
