  2. Mine came off after dealer had to replace a rim that was damaged by a mechanic. Dealer cost is around $32 dollars. I doubt that it is covered under warrenty. They replaced mine because i work there and they assumed the mechanic di not put it back on properly.
  3. I would spray the locking area on the door with lubricant. Have herd of problems where sensor is not fulling engaging when it is closed. Most of the time this is what the dealer would do first.
  4. Just returned from a trip to west palm Fl from gadsden al. Total miles 1700. Average Mpg doing 70 MPH 27.4 On the drive home doing 55 for 165 miles average got up to 29.4 Mpg. Overall was very satisfied. Total mile on car is a little over 11,000. ! drive a 2011 edge limited with 18 inch wheels. see attached pictures.

  6. WindowSticker.pdfi Attached a copy of the vehicle sticker. Since i can get it the vehicle is probobly made and either on a rail car or will be shortly. I would need a dealer code to actually check the status. Talk to the sales manager he can go into the FMC sight and see all information including ETA. I dont know why they are giving you a hard time. Hope the window sticker helps. It does have some dates on the bottom of the widow sticker.
  7. Thats why i cancel it right away so i dont forget and it cant be used again. I have used these before and never have a problem with renewals.
  8. I have discover card and generated a special card number and used it to pay my bill. As soon as i knew the bill was posted to my account i called discover and canceled that number. When it comes time for renewal the charge will be rejected so there will be no renewel. I am not sure if other credit card companies have a similer program.
  9. Both are available seperatly. Travel link is $1.99 a month and traffic is $3.99 a month. I like and kept travel link but will not spend the money for traffic. I only renew the radio when i get the we want you back letter and the price is 6 months for $25.
  10. Dealer is giving you a bunch of bad info. I placed an order on wed june 13th for a new escape titanium. By saturday june 16 i already have the vin number and it was realeased to the factory and is scheduled for july 9th. Most plants are closed the july 4th week. Hope this helps you. I dont know for sure when i will get mine but i at least have info. Yes i saw info in computer it is not just what they are saying.
  11. Have see this before. First thing is check your Sync account to see if an update is available. Sync has a tendency to lock up just like MyFord touch. Mosttimes turning car off and back on fixes it. If you dont know how to see if you have an update send me your e-mail address and vin number and i will check it.
  12. I would check it out for yourself. Whan i used Navigation to get directions it gave me different directions than whan i did the same thing using Google Maps. If you want to know for sure do a route that the Nav is messing up. Nav seems to be fairly accurate Services not so accurate.Let us know what you find out.
  13. Sync Services does not determan the route directions whan using google or mapquest. What ever directions these 2 sights determan is what will be downloaded to your car. The only thing that Sync Services is doing is providing a place to send the imformation so it can be sent to your car. Also as you requested attached is a list of voice commands. It's 37 pages long and contains everything you should be able to say. More than my pea brain can remember. If anyone needs more help you can send me a message I am not an expert and do not have all the answers but do teach this to customers every week.   14. If you use the help system it will give you all your choices. Some of which are. You can use Sync and say the following Play all Play artist Play Alblum Play Song Play Genrie Etc. Go to SyncMyRide.com and you can read all about what you can say. Hope this helps.
  15. Google Maps and Mapquest may not be customizable but they have always been reliable for giving the most direct route. Also if you have MyFord Touch with Navigation it works with it and bring up the map when you download it to the car. Yes you are Also able to send it to sync services and then download it to your car. You really do have 4 options . 1. Google Maps 2. Mapquest 3. Sync Services 4. Built in Navigation I have used them all and the only one that seems to be somewhat outdated is Sync Services.
  16. You do have the ability to download directions to your vehicle from both Google and Mapquest using Sync Services. Your dealer should be offering free classes to there customers on this. I have been teaching classes to customers at a local Ford Dealer For 14 months.Attached is an instruction book on using Sync Services which is free for 3 years to the first owner of most new vehicles.   17. As a Sync Specialist who teaches classes at a dealer for customers i have already had to use the reboot thumb drive on three vehicles to get the system back to work. One was mine after about a week and a half. The other was on a brand new 2013 explorer. So as you can see the system is much better but still has bugs.

PERFORMANCE UPGRADE TIME REQUIREMENTS The MyFord Touch/MyLincoln Touch PERFORMANCE UPGRADE process for FSA’s 11A02 and 11A03 may take up to one hour to complete using the USB Flash drive or longer using IDS. The 11A01 reprogramming procedure with IDS requires use of a computer, a battery charger, and the regular attention of the servicing technician throughout the download process. The 11A02 and 11A03 reprogramming procedure with the USB flash drive can be performed by a non-technical individual anywhere the vehicle can be safely left running. The vehicle must be running, and in park with the parking brake engaged in order to initiate the installation process. The vehicle may be driven once the PERFORMANCE UPGRADE has begun although some functionality may be limited/unavailable during the installation process, such as phone/media player usage, rear view camera, & climate control via the touch screen (conventional climate control buttons on the instrument panel will remain working). Once the PERFORMANCE UPGRADE is complete, an “Installation Complete” message may appear accompanied by an “OK” button. Upon completion of the PERFORMANCE UPGRADE, customers should report successful installation via SYNCMYRide.com as indicated in their installation instructions or contact the In-Vehicle Technology Team at 800.392.4040. Time requirements and labor operations for Dealer installed Performance Upgrades using either the USB flash drive or the Dealer’s IDS tool are outlined in the FSA# 11A01,11A02 and 11A03. RENTAL VEHICLES Customers are eligible for one (1) day of rental coverage while having the upgrade performed. Dealers may claim one (1) Transportation Assistance Program (TAP) day using program code TAP5 for Ford rental vehicles and TAP6 for Lincoln vehicles. These claims will be funded by Ford and will not affect your existing TAP budget or utilization. Specific claiming details are contained within the FSA TIMING A small supply of USB flash drives for PERFORMANCE UPDATES, an initial seed stock of SD cards, and updated system literature shipments are scheduled to arrive at dealers on March 5, 2012. The shipment is mailed to the attention of Service Manager. Customer notification letters will be mailed starting the week of March 5, 2012. FSA VIN lists will be posted to the FSA VIN List page of FMCDealer.com on March 5, 2012 and be updated with customer contact information approximately thirty days (30) from the date of the last customer mailing.

  21. Just replaced mine with charcoal one. Neighbor ordered it with some things he was ordering and was only $8.00. They have several different ones you can order. Took me less than 5 minutes to replace. Trust me im no mechanic but i did it.
  22. Easy way to tell is if you have tempeture on the myford touch screen its the old verson. If the tep is gone it's the new version.

FYI Take this to the dealer maybe they don't understand Fords Policy CUSTOMER PERFORMANCE UPGRADE PROCESS Customers with eligible vehicles equipped with the MyFord/MyLincoln Touch system will be notified by mail; however, customers have the option of bringing their vehicle into the dealership to have the PERFORMANCE UPGRADE performed at no cost prior to receiving their PERFORMANCE UPGRADE package. Dealers should check OASIS to verify the customer’s FSA category prior to performing the upgrade. Dealers who perform customer PERFORMANCE UPGRADES should submit a warranty claim as outlined in FSA# 11A01/11A02/11A03. Customers are grouped into 3 categories as outlined below. FSA 11A03 - Retail customers eligible for self-installation (with and without navigation) These customers will receive a USB drive, an SD card (if vehicle equipped with navigation), and instructions for completing the PERFORMANCE UPGRADE themselves. Customers may elect to return to the dealer to have the PERFORMANCE UPGRADE performed at no cost. The customer is requested to bring their USB and SD card (if applicable) with them to the appointment. FSA 11A02 – Certain early Explorers (as identified in OASIS) and Fleet customers that must return to the dealer for the PERFORMANCE UPGRADE. Corporate Fleet customers who don’t provide Ford with driver specific names and addresses will receive a letter instructing them to return to the Dealer for the PERFORMANCE UPGRADE. Please note: A supplement to FSA# 11A03 will be issued AFTER all customer mailings have been completed, which will then require dealers to call the Special Services Support Center for Prior Approval to add an SD card to an FSA 11A03 warranty claim since customers should be supplying the SD card they received in their package.   25. If you go into your sync account you can download the offical update to a Thumb Drive and install it yourself.
