I'm guessing you don't live in an area that snows much? You seem to be under thinking this lol. What happens when you go run an errand and a flurry comes through? Does every place you take your vehicle have a covered parking area? Work, the mall, movies, dinner, friends house? It does snow throughout the day at times which unfortunately you can't always just park in your garage the entire time.

Something like the Kia DRL thing sounds like a simple software parameter that is shut off in the US. If you search DRL software turn on, I'm sure that could be enabled. Don't know why car makers ship vehicles that have this capability with the feature disabled, but they do. Chances are if something like that , that is standard elsewhere, is able to be turned on here.

I don't think it's you getting older I'm 28 and have noticed things changing. People are so stuck to their phone screen that they don't care to hold a door, let someone into lane in traffic, or whatever the case. I try to use my commercial driving experience to remember those times I was in a big truck and nobody would let me in to always allow semi's to merge or move if they give proper signal and allow time. As for everything else I just imagine what if that was my grandma, grandpa, mom, or dad, sister or brother?? Would I not help or hold the door..etc etc. I think there are a lot of people still like this but it seems the majority have become more distant from people with it being possible to have minimal human interactions on a daily basis if you want to. Everything can be done on the computer or phone at this point. Sorry for the rant. People suck

So I was able to change some BCM stuff in HS-Can mode with my cheap wifi device I hacked apart via ForScan. The hack didn't work correctly and the wiring diagrams didn't help because I had a completely different board in mine. I want to buy another and try the fix again...anyone know or done this with a cheapo device and can confirm it has actual wires inside and not chipsets with pins? Just learning how to solder and much easier to take a wire off than a whole chip just to remove one pin. I'm getting close I can feel it...

Probably waved the wand washing under the vehicle and it registered as "hey I want to open this". I'd leave the key fob in the car when using a self wash. I'm about 99% sure in an automatic wash it wouldn't be possible. The fob needs to be near the back

I don't believe it can if you don't have a fob within 2-3 ft of the rear hatch

I don't believe it will let you. I guess to make sure we are on same page I'll explain a little better. I test I ran was: Vehicle running fob in cup holder. Exited vehicle and shut all the doors. Did not lock vehicle. There was no honk in this situation. The more I think about it I don't even think it honks if you try to lock it with engine off and fob in car. It just won't do it?

Lol I won't, personally the edge is my vehicle and if we take it somewhere I am driving and we are most likely going somewhere together. I can't think of a time in the last year where we took my vehicle somewhere and she dropped me off. I will update to let you know if it ever happens

Correct, Edge does not light up door handles. However touching a door handle will light the puddle lamps under the mirrors.

To OP I figured out how to disable double honk for $20 and a few minutes in some software that is free. Either respond here or PM me if you still want to do this and I can provide a link / explain what needs to happen.

I think it may be that door too! It doesn't seem to shut flush like the rest. I chalked it up to a tight seal and maybe it'd loosen up over time

Not to make light of what no doubt is an unsettling situation (I too have a 3.5 2016, no issues so far). With all these questions about passenger seat belt and TB and what made him do it, I had "The knee bones connected to the...leg bone...the leg bones connected to the...hip bone." Good luck and hopefully the dealer can quickly diagnose and fix the issue you've had. I do have to say all this talk with these 3.5s I really wish I wouldn't have gone with the "upgraded" engine. I find myself driving and wondering if this stalls where / what will I do. Shouldn't have to be thinking like that with a brand new vehicle. If it does happen to me I'm going to be very upset I traded in my '14 f150 that I had zero issues with.

I say go full truck mode and mount it to your roof rack! Maybe go with the four circular ones with the smiley face caps when not in use You'd definitely be able to pick your edge out in the parking lot.
