  1. Oh ok, makes more sense now. I thought you were referring to my post saying I was installing my HID Kit.
  2. I was reolying in regards to you stating its not HIDs for what I did. That is not what my bulbs look like.
  3. UPDATE: installed the lights today. I'd rate ease of install a B+. The install video online is a bit outdated my dust covers are rubber and can't be drilled like shown. I just cut an X with a knife and then cut the flaps off and grommet went on no problem. There are also no connectors for the connection to the old plug. It's a black and red "spade" that pushes into the slots. I would have rather had a connector but I wrapped them in electrical tape to cover exposed metal. The headlights fit well. No issue with the tabs not lining up are snapping back in. The passenger side is a pain due to the antifreeze reservoir. Would have helped to have small hands. The reason for the B+ is the three boxes/parts for ballast and mounting. The wire from the plastic black box is literally 2 inches long. The ballast itself is metal and that I was able to use the provided 3m thick piece of double sided foam to mount to the side of the hood bracket. This left little to no room to mount anything else. The engine bay just doesn't have anything to use. This took the longest for me. I ended up using a hole in the frame (if you look down and against fender right by the light you'll see a hole) I managed to get a zip tie around through it and zip tied the smaller metal box to this. I wrapped all the exposed connections in electrical tape as well. The plastic box I used a bit of the 3M pad I didn't use for ballast and stuck the bottom half of it to another frame piece. Repeated for passenger side with more trouble due to smaller area. I did not use the separate wiring harness with battery hookup. The instructions said to try to plug and play first and if you had flickering to use it. My lights didn't flicker so I passed. I could imagine needing this would cause quite the mess of wires and not a lot of places to run them. I didn't need to adjust lights after either. They definitely look better. I am hoping there is a way to change DRL from using these and instead us the parking lights. Otherwise I will probably shut my DRL off via dash settings to save some bulb life. I took a few pictures but still haven't figured out how to post them via mobile site. I have picture of one HID vs one Halogen. Picture of where I mounted everything and picture of both HID. Let me know if anyone has questions! Overall happy so far, can't wait to drive at night and see the difference
  4. I'm not sure that's the case. They are not a direct replacement bulb, and have ballasts. For $100 I'll stick with these.
  5. I haven't noticed it. I actually think these are on the nicer side of leather ford has used. They look great and are soft. My f150 was literally vinyl claiming to be leather. I've had a nicer material on the bench of a rental box truck than those seats.
  6. Yes they're halogens. I'm actually planning installing my HID kit tomorrow
  7. I believe all it really is a wire similar to one in the glass of rear indie that runs along the edge of the wiper and heats up. I just pick my wipers up off the glass when it's snowing bad and the windhsield is hot from driving still. Works wonders
  8. Most don't bother me and I can deal. every once and awhile you get one that's just the right noise to drive you crazy. That's this tweeter noise for me right now.
  9. Just bring a USB lightning cable in the car, plug ohone into USB port and select the mobile apps menu. Turn on a app via your phone that is applink enabled (iheartradio, Pandora?(not sure), there's a few others). Some apps have to be on your phone active others can be run in background. You should get controls for app on screen and steering wheel/ voice controls. I haven't done it because I don't use any apps that I need that much control over to have my phone plugged in. There isn't a real great spot to set the phone either with how short the cable is.
  10. I'd probably try a cheap one first before going for one 8x as expensive
  11. That screen can definitely do video, my f150 used that screen. But the wiring is a different story. Strange they wouldn't put it on as I believe by 2017 all models are required by law to have rear cameras. Especially when they already use the 4.2" in other models with a camera?!
  12. For the edge the app is FordPass. I believe it is interactive through applink, but that would require knowing where your car is to use that portion . But same premise you can set a marker when you park that shows where it is once go away from it
  13. That magnetic is sharp, I like my tri platinum white, I think a strong second would have been the magnetic or kona blue
  14. Carr I got the same one on Amazon (posted link a few posts up) for $18.99 free Prime shipping
  15. I agreed with dead pedal if I have seat all the way back and place my foot on there my knee is touching the steering wheel which is pulled out maybe 3 inches and in the highest vertical setting.
  16. I'm not really sure what I'll use it for yet, besides to see what exactly I can do with it. I've never had a device that connects and can look at car in detail. I'll update with what I find useful when I get it
  17. I believe it does. The sync site has a list of the apps and I believe it has app specific commands. I've yet to use it to be honest.
  18. does the phone app constitute as the "software" needed?
  19. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01C3HAHCS?psc=1 Something like this? What abilities besides error code scanning would this provide? Any hidden menus or ability to change settings that normally would need a dealer for? IE: switching DRL to parking lights?
  20. I am reading forscan lite correctly? I can download app and via wifi "plug" into my car from my phone? It's $5 I want to make sure I read that write before purchasing it. Or do you still need some type of connection to the vehicle? My 2016 has wifi so this sounds like that may be what it is
  21. My seats started as my biggest dislike. 1500 miles later they either have broken in or Ive gotten used to them. I agree they are some very comfy seats / seem like some of the most high quality leather i can remember in a ford. My biggest likes are: The seats Sync 3 The two dash screens that sandwhich the speedo (I think it looks cool and very functional right side for nav / quick redial from recent calls. The look of the tailights Intelligent access! (Never had a fob before, getting used to not digging for keys) HVAC vents in the rear of console. (45k f150 didn't have this and there was terrible air circulation for the backseat) The button in cargo to drop the seats Super quiet interior. It's crazy how quiet it is even going 75-80 mph Dislike I feel like I have to get gas every other day (80 mile round trip daily, used to my 36 gal tank) Center console cutting into leg room(it's tight at 6'5 on long trips, they need to make them narrower) Another console issue is cup holder placement. I used to drive a manual and tend to leave my hand on shifter to this day. With drinks in the cup holders you can't lay your arm down comfortably without smacking them. My dislikes are super picky and I'm pleased with my selection overall!
  22. Agreed, unfortunately this will probably be my last time as the guy said he'd like to retire within three years. It was funny because he had another guy helping because of buying two vehicles and that guy was trying to play hardball and stand firm. I called his bluff and my guy said wait here I'll get the number we need. Took the other guy aside and sure enough number was what I wanted and other guy changed his attitude.
  23. My cup holders don't squeak unless I have a plastic bottle like a 16 oz. wTer bottle. It's just a little too loose and wiggles against those nubs. My biggest is this door/tweeter noise. To Akirby's point I checked all those other places, but then remembered I can hear it even when car isn't moving if music is on. Leads me back to the speaker itself or the speaker vibrations causing it. I have bass about 3/4 turned up and am listening at about volume 8-12 when I can hear it. I've tried fading it completely up to that door and it's still there and away from that door and it goes away
  24. That blinker going at the end of the video is literally my worst nightmare lol. That noise for that long! It's like nails on a chalkboard. But nice informational video for anyone trying to remove them / change any lights out
