  1. I think he's saying that it gets "stuck" sometimes when connected through a USB to run Android Auto, but then it even gets stuck when not using Android Auto and connected via Bluetooth (for regular stuff...calls, etc). I'm sure you don't want to try this, but have you tried backing your phone up and doing a master reset on it? Perhaps it's the phone that's the issue.
  2. The service guy said they have seen several Edges come from the factory with the struts not properly torqued. So I think it's an issue from the factory. I know mine only has 8k miles on it and has been making the noise since day one. In my case though it could have been the rotor backing plates being replaced that made the noise go away.
  3. I had a very similar sounding noise. Noticed mostly at lower speeds (like pulling into my driveway). Anyways, just had it at the dealer and they did two things. First they replaced both front rotor backing plates, and they also tightened the strut mounts. The sound is completely gone now, although I don't know which repair fixed the problem!
  4. Glad I got the dealer to do it! I'm sure it's easy, and I am good generally working on cars but the tech side of this made me feel uneasy. Just picked it up and CarPlay is great!
  5. Mine is in at the dealer having this done today. Looking forward to having CarPlay!!
  6. I have capacitors, great HID brand, and still find the odd one light no start. To be honest (and I know a lot of people will say "that's why oem is the best"), but if you start your car in the lights off position and immediately turn them to on (thus negating the auto light function) you will never have the problem again. It's muscle memory for me now so I'm fine with it. Better than ugly halogens or only one hid bulb working.
  7. Thanks Bruce. I have my car going in for a few minor warranty issues anyway, and since I just don't have time these days to do it's myself, I figured why not have them do it. So I guess you answered my question though, the dealers are able to do the upgrade now? Hardware (hub) and software update?
  8. Sorry for reviving this but is the update and hub installation available at the dealer now? Has anyone had it done by the deslee? How much are they charging if so.
  9. Definitely strange. Most cars only have one. Maybe the Genesis did only have one as well, but I can definitely confirm that the brake lights worked fine even when I couldn't start the car (checked while my wife tried to start it). Had it replaced twice by the stupid Hyundai dealer.
  10. Different sensor. The brake lights worked fine, it was a specific sensor related to the push button start (on the genesis anyways).
  11. This same thing happened to me with a Genesis I owned years ago. It ended up being a faulty brake sensor (the one that tells the ECU that you have the brake pedal engaged so that the car will start rather than just going to auxiliary mode).
  12. Congrats! And yes you can shift from drive to sport on the fly
  13. As the title states. I'm located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario Canada. I'll travel to you, and obviously pay for the hardware and labor. I don't trust myself with this type of update, nor do I have the time.
  14. I just matched the stock tint to the front windows. The rear glass is already pretty dark.
  15. I went with 20% as well and it would be very difficult to see any difference from factory tint in any light. Even the color is pretty spot on.
  16. Don't EVER plug in two USB devices at the same time! Can you say voided warranty??...especially on the engine. Big no-no.
  17. Definitely a great feature! I thought something was wrong with my AC the first time it happened, until I did a bit of reading on the feature.
  18. The color is great for staying clean looking in the winter as well. Couldn't be happier with the choice.
  19. The one light out is because of the day time running lights. You need the relays with an HID setup.
  20. The question was asked and I gave my opinion, you can feel it's silly. Just like how I think your hideously ugly wheels are silly, but you like them.
  21. I agree. They decided to add the front facing camera as a console button, which they could have just as easily hidden away in the Sync menus. The heated steering wheel control button should have been standard just like the heated/cooled seats.

Snake oil. Just use good engine oil and filters. Easy.
