  1. What model, engine and year? - please add that to your signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  2. If caught in time, damage to the CAT can be avoided - the smell is an indication that unburnt fuel is entering the CAT and will destroy the CAT fairly quickly if the cause of the fuel isn't addressed.
  3. You don't need to mount the tires to perform the learn process - when my new sensors were installed the tech did the learn procedure while one wheel was a fair distance away from the car on the balancer - he just walked up to it with the activation tool. You don't have to perform the learn procedure when fitting new wheels and sensors - just drive about 15 miles and it will automatically link to the new sensors and their location on the vehicle - its just quicker to do the learn procedure.
  4. I bought two sensors for my BMW motorcycle and a set of four for my 2017 Sport from Aliexpress. The ones for the BMW are Schrader and been in service for more than a year, and the four in my Sport have been in service for 3.5 months - no issues. BMW sells the TPMS sensors for $250 each and I paid $10 each. The ones you bought from a local retailer most likely came from the same factory in China as the ones I bought. My "Made in China" iPhone is still going strong.
  5. Does https://www.rockauto.com ship international? - The OP is in the United Arab Emirates
  6. There's a few fellow Edge owners in the below thread that might think twice about their dedication to only buy "Made in USA". Rough Idle When Cold/P0301 Code - coolant intrusion - TSB 22-2133 - 2.0L EcoBoost - Ford Edge Forum
  7. If you get this, check on the date it was made - earlier batch was made with hose that resulted in a gas odor, like mine did, but JLT sent new hoses, and all is good now. $50 is a great deal.
  8. Could you link to the video that covers this issue.
  9. Who's we? Are you checking the transmission sensors in response to the engine spluttering?
  10. Is that the 2.0L engine? Please add your model and year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  11. Specialized equipment and procedure is needed to bleed the ABS system. Part of the process is to cycle the ABS pump.
  12. If you use an impact wrench then you're right, a solid steel nut would be better.
  13. Use a decent 21mm wrench and no impact tools, then they'll last the life of the vehicle. I had two oil changes at the dealership in the first few months of ownership which included wheel rotation, and in that time they chipped my rims and distorted the lug nuts. When I addressed this with the service manager his response was that they use "Torque Sticks" - I had to explain to him that doesn't alleviate the damage to the soft shell of the lug nuts caused by the high-powered impact tool. I was given a new set of lug nuts and they're in perfect condition 5 years later.
  14. Temporarily just to get you going you could use the manual override and then follow-up with diagnostics later. 2013 Ford Edge Shift Interlock Override - YouTube FORD EDGE TRANSMISSION STUCK IN PARK. HOW TO SHIFT IN DRIVE, NEUTRAL OR REVERSE - YouTube
  15. Try a forum search, or a Google search that includes this forum URL and you'll find a lot more pertinent info on this engine. Some have reduced the risk of the coolant pump mechanical seal failure by shorter than normal coolant replacement, but starting this at 111k miles would be futile.
  16. Is this the V6 that has the risk of the internal coolant pump leaking?
  17. I'm also keen to hear how you came to that conclusion. I haven't seen any reports on here of RDU failures.
  18. I expect you'll need to order the replacement for a Ford dealership (online or local). Maybe @Haz can get you the part number. Why did you use a Torx Plus and not what these plugs are Torx - that's most likely why they're damaged. Mine were very hard to break free due to the tapered metal to metal seal, but with the correct Torx key there was no risk of damaging the plug.

  20. You suspect the loss of coolant is the petcock, but could be the issue discussed in the below thread. How are you measuring the temperature? Rough Idle When Cold/P0301 Code - coolant intrusion - TSB 22-2133 - Page 7 - 2.0L EcoBoost - Ford Edge Forum
  21. I bought the below off eBay - it's not color but has everything I need. 2017 Ford Edge Electrical Wiring Diagrams Service Manual | eBay
  22. If going with a different size battery its best to reset the BMS using Forscan, selecting the size and type battery.
  23. Last time I considered that, the price was a bit of a shocker - where do you advise getting this?
