UPDATE 5/4/18: Tom (the initial test fitted vehicle) before the install went to the track and ran an average of 13.32 over 3 runs, went 30 min away and got the boost tube installed went back to the track and averaged 13.2 over 3 runs after the install. A solid 10th of sec is worth an EASY 10 to 15 hp. No i don't have slips before you ask sadly. We are hoping for even more of a benefit with the bigger turbos and the intercooler. No CEL, just a boost tube where there are no sensors. Drivability is not affected at all

  8. We understand this and are offering it as an high quality and better alternative. It's quite obvious that something we helped R&D wouldn't be around before us...
  9. This is a fairly easy job, and most have done it themselves. Did you try to put a piece of wood on a jack and jack the engine up via the oil pan to take the weight off the engine mount. I just did one for a local at the shop and it took about 45 min, with a beer break ;-).
  10. we are waiting for the cold pipe to come in at which point we will install the IC and cold pipe, do 3 or 4 revisions on the tune, then dyno and go to test and tune and post slips I will post after install in a week or 2. also these EB are not stressed in the least bit out of the box, if they were you would not be able to get over 80hp and 80ft/lb of tq from a tune. the only part that really should have been different that is honestly at its limit stock is the intercooler.

Swaybars have nothing to do with straight line acceleration, unless you get a lightweight thin wall one for weight savings less than 5lbs Summer tires can cloak a significant amount of understeer simply by having a higher breaking point. There has been no speed that we hit in a straight line where we were like "omg this is unstable". Its a simple fact by the layout of the platform that when being pushed to the edge (ha see what I did there ) it will understeer. Our platform layout is as follows: 4460lbs with 60% of weight upfront, engine in front of front axle, and only up to 50/50 power distribution if the computer feels like it. I find it very simple to make the platform understeer, go into long exit with some speed, stay in the middle, stab the wheel HARD to the inside of the turn, the vehicle will respond at first and then become numb and unmotivated to keep turning...this is understeer. it will never show at posted speed limits.

EPA FUEL ECONOMY: Combined/city/highway: 20/17/24 mpg I don't see why we couldn't do it :-)

  14. 21 psi on a K03,that's getting close to the limit, good luck with longevity on a k03 trying to push 21psi man. I do not foresee that lasting too long..... My K04 barely lasted 45K with 22psi as a peak tapering to 14psi at redline...
  15. Well In our logs and tests, the grill didnt help max temps however it prolonged the max heat max. So your kind of correct, but not totally. Almost the same concept of a heat blanket. Also, not everyone is perfect. Chris may not of had a large enough test group or sample size. More than one person can provide input and fact.
  16. Sadly no, how ever working with another company on this! Not working with him, he is just our tuner. IDK why it took 50 iterations...should have been about 4-5.
  17. Anything for the community man! We should be receiving the first ones shortly. there is going to be a small hang up though before we can install them. We promised Ultimate performance a dyno with their intercooler, so until that is complete we will not be installing the turbos. Its also been a bit painful that Unleashed has been VERY slow to respond to us (2 - 4 days between correspondences).
  18. Let's put it this way, you could drop these in on a stock car and just get away with a tune. However to get take advantage of the new found boost you need: intercooler, hot charge pipe, and BOV. Beyond that would be 3inch down pipes with high flow cats
  19. To all, after much trial and tribulation we have decided that the fusion intercooler is just no worth the amount of modifications that would have to be done. There is too much hard mounted objects in the way and way too many bends for piping. Sorry to give up after all this time. We have gone with ultimate performance intercooler with the Garrett core. -Special K & Snmjim
