  3. lol that's it ;-) come on just leave her at WOT and hold on! So far we have had ours out to around 140mph, steady and was still pulling we just ran out of road....in mexico....of course *cough cough* @snmjim
  4. Leslie got back in touch with us. ​So we have the tuner on board, turbos are being wrapped up, boost noodle is being fabricated, BOV is in the mail, Turbo blankets are being made, and it seems the only hold up is CP-e with the intercooler :-/ ​STAY TUNED
  5. UPDATE: #turboporn Same exducer size, different inducer to achieve no turbo lag and higher boost up top!
  6. Well that explains a lot, i get them confused very easily, thanks for clarifying that for me . I am just speaking from my experience in vehicles. Also, wheel hop will of occur at some point with any car when increasing power, its the nature of the beast.
  7. Update! ramfab performance has received his metal stock today and will be making the prototype before the close of next week! we are getting close folks!
  8. that's goal :-) or at least a 120 trap with no launch since wheel hop is going to be a obvious issue.
  9. idk what to tell you, we haven't had an issue yet, once we do we will address it. I run 11.1 in my audi S4 and have close to no wheel hop, just 1st for a half a second then I'm gone. just chirps with every shift till 3rd....... ​Snmjim hasn't had wheel hop either. each time we have ran on a freshly prepared track with about 5-10 cars ahead of us
  10. He is buttoning up the prototypes and will sending them in a few weeks. will keep you updated. On a disappointing note, Torrie from unleashed has yet to reply to any of my emails so we maybe stuck finding a different tuner :-/
  11. proper preparation and proper technique goes a long way, air down tires to 25psi and roll in from 75% throttle at 3rd yellow and no wheel hop or shudder. lower tire psi, and delayed boost in 1st

  13. whats odd about that is that is usually a sign of bad turbo seals....is the oil anywhere else before we start to jump into false conclusions.

This topic will be for those of us that either really push the car on mountain roads ( *cough Xtra *cough* ) or have high HP goals and need to stop our tank of a vehicle and are currently finding our stock braking inadequate for our needs. Keep an eye on the OP as I will update with findings as we go Goal: to find a stock caliper upgrade from another ford or like vehicle for our suv. Questions: What vehicles share our front spindle? What is the bolt spacing for out calipers along with the offset? What is our disc brake backspacing? - Special K OUT
  16. I quoted the most recent update that occurred 3 days ago Xtra. We are hoping to have them back in a month or so! Also, Xtra I hope your looking at braking solutions soon cause a 450awhp 4400lb machine is going to take a lot to stop....
  17. I mean self reflection is the best thing a person can do, helps to give the individual a greater understanding of themselves and their surroundings.
  18. The machinist I'm using specializes in turbos, and I have asked him to look at all weaknesses including cooling and oil. He said they all look good so far. Ironically these turbos are going to be bigger than the 3.5L aftermarket ones XD. will see full boost by 2500 so that's good.
  19. Update on turbos: stock is 33mm cold side and 46mm hot side New turbo will have a billet wheel with 40mm cold side and 53mm hotside and a more aggressive hotside pitch (to be determined). Our goal is 22psi to redline without being a hair dryer! Also, having turbo blankets made to cut down on engine bay temps Till next update!

Update!!! ​Prototype is being made as we speak and will be to us with in a few weeks. the bar will have two holes. soft and hard setting. soft will be 36% stiffer that stock and hard is 62% stiffer. ​the bar will be slightly larger than the stock but is solid bar and a stiffer steel. will keep all updated!
  22. Thank you very much Xtra! I let him know. he wants to send us the proto first and we will test it for a little then It will be ready for full production.
