OK, per all of the above. I did see one forum member state they changed the code (per the above post), but could not really tell a difference. Maybe there were some others that documented that it worked and I just miss it. I wanted to see if Ford could come up with something. Also, since I do not have the interface/part or forscan itself to use (I do not have a windows laptop either) to change the code listed above, I decided to see what the dealer could do for me. The dealers price was not that much more than me getting everything else to change a code. I do not plan on doing anything else that could be possible with forscan, just a personal choice. If I ever change my mind, there are great resources on this forum. I let the dealer turn off the ANC and ESE and I feel that worked. Also, the tech stated he could disable ANC and ESE separate from each other. Not really knowing for sure which might be better, I had him disable both. For me, the dealer did it with information from Ford and documented what they did. Now I do not have any concern with Ford stating I changed their software, which caused any issues that could come up later. I realize one could change a code back using forscan, but not easy if one is traveling away from home. ********************** I have been activating sport mode at different speeds and I do not hear any enhanced tone from the cabin speakers. The change the dealer did for me worked as far as I can tell. I still suggest, if you want to try the changes, talk to your dealer and see if they can verify what I found out. My ST was a very early build and who knows what may have changed.

I requested info from Ford, through my Service Advisor, on how to dis-able the enhanced exhaust tone in the cabin while in "Sport" mode. Also, kudos to my Service Advisor for working with me on this. The attached shows a couple of replies from Ford with a couple of possible ways. It will only take a couple of minutes to read the two replies from Ford. Hopefully it will be readable as it is pretty small print.

All, when you place your ST in sport mode, do you hear the enhanced exhaust sound in the cabin without much change in the throttle input or do you have to apply more throttle to hear the enhanced exhaust tone?

What, I thought the Pinto was coming back with rear engine, with the gas tank up front behind the bumper. I had already save $5.00 towards a purchase. Oh well, off to Wendy’s for lunch to spend it. ?

I was in a auto parts store yesterday and one of the customers mentioned he also had an ST, blue. He stated, with humor, that he now realizes what the ST stood for. He went on the state that the “ST” stood for Sh*t Transmission. I had not looked at it that way, but had to chuckle. I let him know about our forum and the TSB out, etc.

I also have Just my opinion, others may feel different. I also have this tune, started with version 2, now on version 3. 2 helped with the shifting and 3 made it a bit better.

The dealership advisor has gone back to Ford with the added info for followup.

When I put my ST in Sport Mode, the exhaust seems to be enhanced in the cabin by use of the speakers? I have read others that have stated it is the same for them as well. I have read a couple of posts that stated on later built ST's there is no enhancement (my ST is an early built). I have been working with a Ford Service Advisor and he sent a request to Ford, using an internal system, asking how to turn that off. Below is the reply he got back from Ford, note: it is a screen shot that was sent to me by email. Not sure how visible it will be, but the reply was that the ST does not have a system called ESE system, there for it does not pipe in exhaust tone, so nothing to turn off. Comments, does some else know better - been told something different? Thanks

I just looked at the Magnaflow webpage. When pulling up the 19 ST, it shows just mufflers and some custom setup kits and a few other things. One can find a good custom muffler shop and get something like that done. I did not see any type of remove and replace setups. If that is all they are going to come out with, disappointing.
