^^^^^^^^^ I feel the same way, the trans should work better on a vehicle labeled a ST.
-
I got to wondering, so I stopped by the dealer a couple of days ago. The parts guy looked up the springs for the 19 ST and the Sport, it showed two different part numbers (I did not get the numbers, as the parts guy just showed me the screen for each part). Now, I am not saying the Sport springs will not work, just saying the parts guy stated two different part numbers.

Welcome, sorry I cannot help on your situation.

I did not have a tech check on this yet, worked with the trans TSB and now have an appointment for the headlight module update. Have done the trans update and after I get the headlight module update done, I will have them check out the lane centering issue I have.

I talked to my service advisor this morning and he reported that per their tech chat line, other customers/service departments are reporting the same issue. Some tech’s feel it is an issue with the seat back setup. My advisor is requesting Ford’s assistance with a fix. I will post if something can be done.

I have an appointment for Wednesday to have the 19B11 done. I will post if I see any changes. From what I understand it covers Edge built from start of production to March of this year. Note: Seeing another member stating the correction would not be available until June. When I talked to the service advisor, he stated it looked like the time to do the update was 0.3 of an hour and was just a software update. I will need to check back with the advisor to see if he may have missed something on a parts install and than the software update.

Okay, thanks for the info.

I realize that some members already know this, but. Looking at the webpage for H&R springs, it shows their Sport Springs are available for the 19 Edge. The site does not break it down to any trim level when entering 2019 Ford Edge. Their site does show they fit the AWD 19 Edge. I called them and the person needed to look into it and needed to called me back. When they called back, they stated that those springs do NOT fit the ST (I did not ask about any other 19 trim level fitment). He did state that he believed some springs for the ST would be developed, but no time line at this time.

Just my opinion, there are tunes out there that work well with the new Edge ST. It is nice to have a couple of tunes to go with and ones personal preference. I went with LMS because of their approach to the new trans in the ST and slight update to the engine. I am happy with the results and looking forward to future updates from LMS. So for me, I agree with their response above.

Let us know how it turns out if you would.

I was told by my dealership that it applied all the 8F57 trans per the build dates listed in the TSB. They did the update for me and it took care of my concerns. I also had some of the same issues you stated and it seemed to have worked.

As per my owners manual, one is to TQ wheel nuts to 162 ft lbs for proper mounting within 100 miles of a tire change. Looking at the wimpy lug tool Ford gives to do this and if one is not on home turf, not sure how well it would work with their tool. So, I put my 4 way lug wrench in the back. At least I can put more TQ to the wheels until I get home if I am on a trip.

I had read that the ST bar is different than the Sport, but not sure.

Welcome, sorry can not help on the turbo question.

Welcome, nice edge.

Thanks for the info.

I stopped by the dealer today and Ford had responded to my question with "does this vehicle have the ventilated front seat option?". OK, I will over look that reply and will move forward as I have the 401 with ventilated/heated front and heated rear seat options. I have an appointment next week to have a tech have a look at it.

OK, so I stopped by the dealer today and the service advisor stated he heard back from Ford. Ford suggested I drive another Edge ST to see if it does the same. This dealership does not have another ST with the 401 package and 21" wheels like mine(I want to make sure I am comparing apples to apples). I have an appointment next week so a tech can check it out and that way it will be on record as having being looked at.

The exhaust has a better/louder tone when giving a bit more than light throttle. Since I still have the big stock muffler, I do not have any drone at highway speeds. I believe the turbos help with that as well. Now, the exhaust tone is not like a V8 would have, but I feel is better with the X pipe.

Just thinking, not saying I am correct, but. Seems a chip changes some responses from throttle input, along with other data. After a while the ecm or whatever would adjust to that input and adjust some?? or all of the chips input back to more normal input?? A tune from a good tuner replaces some of the codes from the factory and keeps their tune doing as it was designed to do each and every time as that tune has replace some of the stock code. Yes I know a very basic look at the two and may not even be close to accurate, so go ahead and jump all over my thinking. ?
