    What concerns me is because everything on the car is now managed by a computer (even the automatic gearbox) one day Ford might decide it is no longer "supported" and the entire car then becomes one huge, expensive brick.

    Guess you could get a LHD one imported from continental Europe. Mind you, would you be happy with the 180PS (177BHP) twin-turbo 2 litre diesel engine it comes with? We've never been able to get anything like the 335 BHP V6s you guys can get.

    I was going to say that, but then thought maybe most American garages were as neat as that. That floor is amazing. Mine is concrete, less than half the size and with a couple of coats of cheap Ronseal garage floor paint!

    Ford have assembly plants in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, India, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Venezuela and Vietnam as well as in Mexico. Why would they (and how could they) possibly close all of them to produce vehicles only in Mexico??

    Great cars. Unfortunately the only Chevy available over here is the Corvette Stingray and that's in LHD only. You can now get RHD Mustangs, but at prices starting at £45k ($62,000) a bit too expensive for me. One day maybe, but in the meantime I'm very happy to have my Edge.

    Sounds like you should have bought the European version! Other than having less BHP the 210PS European version has none of these faults.

    Not sure what photo(s) you're referring to, sorry. Does my car in the pic I posted have the trim. I can't see any difference between that and the Sport.

    PC/ED means Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis. I'm not a ford engineer so wouldn't know whether or not you need it, sorry
