  1. Uh, wait. So you're saying there is no more keyless entry? Is this just for the ST (I assume your '24 is an ST)? I don't use the keyless entry a lot, but when I do, it is damn handy. I would miss it. Is it still an option for add-on?
  2. Everything looks good except for removing the Edge. It makes the ST look a little lopsided. And it looks "empty", like something is missing. This is just my opinion.
  3. My '16 Titanium is a little wonky with the last music played. Same in my F-250.
  4. It sounds like a blend door issue. Either the blend door, or maybe the module for it. I don't know how to diagnose or track down, but the symptoms sound familiar to those reported on the F-250 forum I'm on. Not as much for the newer trucks, but it was a fairly common issue on the older trucks, including the 2011s. I had to have mine replaced on my 2008 Was about $800 back then (2010). Hopefully someone will be along shortly with some additional info.
  5. Ah..got it. Thanks for the clarification. I can see this certaily being an issue.
  6. Welcome. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Someone will be along shortly with an answer.
  7. Do you still have a factory warranty on this? Why don't you take it in and make some good use of the warranty?
  8. Okay, I think I see. I re-read your post, and I think you are saying the Ford Pass App came along in 2016 (or so), but the functionality for door lock/unlock/start, didn't actually appear until 2019. I wonder if it is a module that can be added, or a setting in Forscan?
  9. dabangsta - so you're saying the 2016 should have the ability to start/lock/unlock from an app? I have it on my 2019 F-250, and it works great I added the Edge to that app, but it does not have the start/lock/unlock stuff on it like the truck. Is it a different app that enables it? If so, which app will do this?
  10. Huh. Never thought of that. I actually have a Dymo label maker. I may have to give it a try. Thanks for the idea!
  11. Awesome. Thanks for posting up the solution, and sorry you had to go through all that to get the brakes fixed. But good to see it is finally fixed. Hope that's all for now, as the Edge really is a pretty nice car, as i am coming to find out the more I drive mine. I am also on the FTE site
  12. Welcome to the forum Chris. And thanks for the write-up. Good to see when a fix helps an already good car. Looking forward to seeing more posts as you get to know your Edge better.
  13. Hi folks. I have a 2016 Edge Titanium, and am wondering if there are any "upgraded" or "updated" trim for the instrument panel. My problem is, I have trouble seeing what the buttons do. I can't read them from where I set in the driver's seat. I can see everthing fine, I just can't read any of the buttons. This goes for all the buttons in the car. Is there anything anyone has seen that has the lettering bigger, or brighter, or anything to help people like me with 4 eyes, and none of them work properly?
  14. Welcome Relli101. So, for those of us who are still fairly new to the Edge, and I guess more specifically the 2.0 Edge, what is "the usual issue"?
  15. Who is "he"? A dealer, a local mechanic, your best friend? What tests has he run? What is the car doing (or not doing) that is giving the faults?
  16. What "it" says you need the new body control module? I don't think I can help with it, I'm just curious how you determined you need it?
  17. danostuff, did you ever get this going? I upgraded my Sync to ver. 3.4, and got the same USB error message. I bought the USB module HC3Z-19A387-F, and finally got it put in today. Everything worked great. As soon as I plugged in my iPhone 12, Car Play fired right up. It sounds like that module they got you is the wrong one. I would take it back and get the HC3Z-19A387-F.
  18. I have a 2016 Titanium. The texting was not working in it. I finally had a bit of a chance to look into this, and just wanted to pass this on to anyone else having issues with their texting through the Sync system. So the system recognized my phone, and would do all other functions it seemed, except texting. The screen was just blank. I looked in the manual, and one step in there was to check the settings in your phone. I have an Apple iPhone XII. Under Bluetooth, tap on whatever the connection is for your Edge. Mine was something really stupid like "Bluetooth", or so (can't remember now), so I changed the name of it to "Ford Edge". Now I can instantly recognized it under my Bluetooth devices. So next, tap on the circled "i" (info). On that screen is a lot of settings. The one that make my texting work was "Show Notifications". It was turned off. I turned it on, and voila, all is better in the world. This is in case anyone else has this issue. As I said, it all works now like it should.
  19. Awesome. Glad you got it fixed. And thanks for getting back up here and letting us know the fix.
  20. Can you elaborate on this just a bit? Just saying "bad idea" doesn't really help anybody.
  21. Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on the find. It sounds like you found a winner there.
  22. Have you considered a weight distributing hitch? This could help with the leveling, and then use the airbags for fine tuning. Nice job on the trailer by the way. When you get a chance, could you post some pics of the innards. Gotta see what you did inside.
  23. I certainly wouldn't make a habit of doing it. The manual mentions that it is not good for it. But if you're stuck somewhere and need to, well, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
  24. Sometimes that's the easiest and best option. Glad you got if fixed.
