  1. I own a Car stereo shop the reason the reception is bad is due to radio stations decreasing power to switch to digital. We have 5-10 people a week come in and complain of this on every type of car out there. we have added fixed mast antennas to a lot but it doesnt get much better. Boosters will add noise as the edge/mkx already have one built in. the best thing is to add a hd tuner as more and more stations are switching to hd. you can either replace the head unit or add one on , we have one that adds ipod and hd radio so you get 2 options for 1 install on the factory headunit.
  2. its easy just ground the park brake wire then move the mute wire down and over 3 positions to the open slot and groun it. i will try to find a pic

  11. 3 words Back up camera . sensors are great but think of this. you park in the same place everynight, you get back in the car in the am and you put it in reverse. The sensors go off like they always do except this time something or god forbid someone you cant see in your mirror is back there, and just like everyday that the sensors go off due to the "WALL" then you hit something. Nothing replaces sight . Just something to think about. We just had a little kid run over by his dad in the next town over . we sell 3x the cameras to the sensors.
  12. i dont think the amp in the mkx will push the w3 enough not to mention its crossed over way above where it should be for the w3 sub .

  17. 2007 - Up Ford Edge Also fits Lincoln '07-Up MKX Give your Edge the ultimate edge... in the bass department. Ford’s crossover delivers an ideal combination of people space and cargo space, without resorting to the bulky packaging of a traditional SUV. This doesn’t leave a lot of extra room for a traditional subwoofer solution, though. The answer to this quandary is our completely hidden Stealthbox® which installs behind the passenger side rear cargo panel and is engineered to provide optimal sonic performance thanks to the W3v3 driver it houses. You get to keep all your cargo space and all your people space (even in the third row), but you get to get to have your bass come alive with real JL Audio quality, too. THE HARD DATA: Contains one 10W3v3-4 in a sealed enclosure. 500 watt power handling. Wired for 4 ohm mono. Installs behind passenger side cargo area trim panel. Installation requires permanent modification to the factory trim panel and removal of OEM “subwoofer” if vehicle is so equipped.

  19. I can confirm JL is just a few weeks away from releasing the stealthbox for the EDGE/MKX. Dont have pricing info or what woofer is going in w1 or w3 i would guess a w1 with the depth but who knows .
  20. only problem i see with the touch screen is do you really want sticky little fingers pressing on a flat screen. There is a reason your hdtv at home isnt touch screen that is what remote controls are for. Just my $.02
