  1. go aftermarket it will be cheaper and have way more features. Mine does remote start it will also hit the rear defrost with the push of another button and also the heated seats. This cant happen with the factory as they are all push on for the seats and the defrost. http://www.aboutsecurityconcepts.com/Car_A..._Start_s/62.htm
  2. i wonder if ford would be happy to hear they covered a repair that shouldnt have been under warranty. Maybe todd can call ford and let them know, it should be easy to find out what dealer it was and get them to reject the claim.
  3. just to clarify so if anyone copies and pastes its BlazedUp Not being a douchebag like him just making sure if you want him gone he is gone. Also where are the mods on the board?? this type of crossposting would be grounds for removal on other boards i moderate.

  6. you dont absolutely need it but it does make it much easier. Plus it gives you VSS, Dimmer , Back Up etc. We have a harness just for the dvd retention.
  7. not if you replace the headunit. no aftermarket will work if you change the headunit.
  8. oh also you will need a peswips to maintain the steering wheel controls as well.
  9. yes this is what you need . we do these all the time for the dealers and we stock them http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/ select your car then scroll down to fordah The FORDAH is an essential installation accessory for select 2005-Up Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles with MSCAN Data bus radios. Using this interface will enable factory features such as rear seat entertainment (RSE), rear seat controls (RSC) and the premium amplified systems , and even THXII data controlled digital amplified systems when the original radio is removed. Other features include data bus driven retained accessory power (RAP), vehicle speed sensor (VSS), illumination, reverse output, parking brake outputs for an easy navigation or non-navigation radio installations. There’s also a 5 volt data controlled regulated amp turn on for factory installed subwoofers and other vehicle key features that would otherwise be lost. The FORDAH also works with Peripherals line of steering wheel control interfaces (PESW series) for most aftermarket radios. The PESW series line of interfaces will allow the SWC to control your aftermarket radio.
  10. here is the stuff i use it comes from the pro detail suppliers that the dealers use. Works awesome. http://www.tcpglobal.com/detailsupplydepot...emno=MAL+100116
  11. thanks , yes a bit noiser but hey thats why i do car stereo right???? Great handling tire, i had this little civic think he was going to get around me on a corner when his lane ended. These tires held the lane flawlessly, and his rear erector set wing did nothing to help him except to look stupid. I never understand those big cheese cutter wings on the rear of a front wheel drive car.
  12. Why is it everyone elses resposibility to read the manual for you . I'm guessing your the one stuck someplace because you dont know how or where to do something simple to get back on the road.
  13. i had the same issue and the dealer replaced the seat under warranty. but i do a lot of work for this dealer so i get some things done that other might not get. 1 RO had the following on it 1) Driver seat replaced 2) headliner replaced due to sagging and it still sags at the back of the rear BAMR openong. 3) dash pulled to replace gasket under windshield 4) battery replaced wont hold charge 5) steering wheel controls replaced volume down wasnt working. 6) front brakes replaced as they would make a grinding sound when applied 3-4 times after 4 or more hours sitting. 7) center console lid replaced as it squeaked when you would have an arm on it while driving.
  14. what brand is the alarm we install alarms for dealers all the time .
  15. or more the fact that he is supposedly selling on his first post . people need to be careful who they send money too. no one on here needs to lose $ to some scam .
  16. ok had them a couple of weeks and there great. very good dry handling and handled 5" of snow very well . A little noiser than the stock conti's but for the handling its well worth the difference.
  17. you can mantian the steering wheel controls with an aftermarket deck , and you will have more control over the sub with the new deck. also the door speakers will sound better with an $80 pioneer deck than the factory deck any day of the week.
