  1. i have my factory amp if your interested. Also just cut out the pocket and make a trim ring with grill cloth and attach to the back of the panel.
  2. no all info is on the little screen. as for the steering wheel controls yes it retains them with the appropriate interface. I love this unauthorized sites that sell parts they have no clue what it is or what it does. Non-Amplified, Non-OnStar Harness to Retain Accessory Power for Select 2007 Ford/Lincoln Vehicles when did ford get Onstar??? Friggin morons.
  3. yes you will need a steering wheel interface of some sort . http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductData/MS-FRD1/1_Instructions/ms-frd1_instructions_120809.pdf look at the top right of diagram on page 1 and middle of page 2
  4. check the trim around the back BAMR glass as it has a TSB that the glue on the velcro gives up the ghost. take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

    XM Radio

So was it Pakistan or afghanistan that the call center was in. I am a dealer since we sell there Crap and it is crap now. They canceled all the dealer accounts at small specialty stores. I threatened them with a class action lawsuit since Best Try was still getting there accounts for free along with Wal mart. I had my dealer accounts back on within an hour , told some other shop the same thing and they were successful as well. I told them get a clue i am not paying to demo your service.
  6. It will take about 15-20 mins to do this as all 3 wires are at the hvac control head and are negative trigger so you probably wont need relays either.
  7. This is why you never let a dealer install complex electronics. Most tech at dealers are just [arts swappers. Its not like the good ole days where they can DIAGNOSE anything. They rely on the computer to tell them what part to throw at it and hope it works.
  8. not true the seats work just fine on remote start. there is no pressure switch you can check by turning them on by leaning in with the key on .As for the rear defog it works as well . it will also hit the outside mirrors. I have both hooked up on my remote start.
  9. No 2 seperate antennas gps is up under the dash on top of the radio
  10. about 1 hour to do it so i would guess there hourly rate maybe less if your lucky
  11. yes go to the dealer and pay them to hook it up to there computer and program the new key . there is no other way for your protection , so that a parking garage or repair shop cant copy the key.
  12. you could unplug the power harness for a while and it wont recieve the shutdown signal. then it will work forever after that. you might need to leave it off for several weeks though. our old xm rep told us this .
  13. each door has a 2 way speaker hence 8 for the 4 doors and a sub. a weak attempt by ford on counting. but technically it is 9 (4) 2 ways and a sub. first thing ripped out and replaced. get a good set of 6x8's for the doors something that sounds good to you . go to a shop that can demo several different ones and pick which one sounds good to you. Dont buy the most expensive unless that is what sounds good to you. I like the pioneer D series they are a 2 way component set in the 6x8 format. then you can swap the sub or leave it depending on your budget and your soud requirements.
  14. there is a module by the left rear seat belt retractor and the harness from the sensors to this unit and the power to it also
  15. http://www.me-mag.com/HotwireReader.aspx?NewsId=6016
  16. bitch to sirius and they will send you a refurb radio to swap it
  17. According to ford there is only 1 clockspring . ok looking at the schematics you need to do 2 things pull the radio and see if there is wire in position 18 Gray /yellow trace and position 19 Blue /white trace Then if they are there you will need to pull the cover around the steering colum and look for 2 wires there as well on the 12 pin connector you need to see if there is a gray /yellow trace wire in position # 10 and on the 16 pin connector the blue/white trace should be in position 12 if not then we can get it done fairly easily just need 4 pins and the wire to get them together. The radio has the ability no need to reprogram. Let me know i also can get the pins so this can happen.
  18. Wheel, alloy, 22", Polished List Price : $1,408.08 Your Price : $1,126.46 http://www.partswebsite.com/fordpartswebsite/?i=1&make=123&model=1271&year=2010&catid=30154&subcatid=30517&section=116&type=parts be careful they will never ever get those rims true and they wont balance properly. and the tires will wear much quicker.
  19. High on the door most imports put them behind the mirror mount on the door faced at the driver /pass. Off the glass is the worst thing you can do for true sound, the sound bounces and give a very harsh sound. Like most Obama Motors (GM) that have them on the pillar just piss poor planning. Just be glad we dont have the BLOSE system (Better Sound Thru Marketing) Although the sony is crap as well. For half the money they charge for there "PREMIUM" crap you can have a great sounding stereo.
  20. Heated steering wheel and Valet mode. steering wheel i would guess is a lincoln option but valet would be cool to prevent them from doing certain things.
  21. and pillar tweets , the worst place for them but oh well.
  22. I would guess it probably got wet inside. We sell car alrms and this is a common issue. Also you do have batteries in there that might need to be changed. Pull it apart and see if there is any moisture if so use some alcohol isopropryl and clean it then let it dry out put in new batteries and see how it goes.
  23. all you need to do is use some fishing line or dental floss and start at one side and work it back and forth. If its cold out use a hairdryer to get the tape llose.
  24. I will look at the manual today i bet it is possible just might need to add a pin and wire to the bottom of the clockspring
