Interesting - I have a clock that auto does daylight savings - which was fine when I bought it, but then they changed daylight savings dates and now I end up having to fix it 4 times instead of two. Maybe our cars will do that and your date is off?

It wasn't something scheduled, but you shouldn't expect it to happen at any given time. I think I have had my system do it twice in 4 months - other's have it daily. It is starts happening often, it might be a sign of bigger problems.

Victor - I really think that it all depends on the quality of your download of software. I have a limited built in August without the upgrade - and my system works better than what you describe. I hope they are able to get yours set up correctly so you can truly enjoy. (I have not pulled a fuse once for the record)

Sorry to say it, but my ipod touch works great. I have gotten it confused once and had to re-index it to get the album art back to the right song, but it works great. But I don't have a buggy system. I think that is the bigger issue.

my 2cents is that windshield insurance is always worth it. In AK it only raises my rates by about a buck or two every 6 months and I get a new windshield whenever I want. I am going on month 5 with my limited and I have maybe 2 small chips in my windshield already. We don't use salt here either. Downtown they use some salt compound spray solution, but not as corrosive as salt. On the rest of the roads it is sand. So far, nothing as bad as our truck gets dinged, but I think that is mostly due to the angle of the glass then the type. Hope that helps.

I have found the opposite, if mine are covered, they come on as soon as I put it in reverse - scared the bejesus out of me the first time - thought something was behind me that I didn't see. I also tried the turn up the volume and it didn't work. couldn't even tell for sure where the sound was coming from. I agree that it is coming out of some type of speaker, just not the radio ones.

NO - the center stack doesn't have to be set to auto. If the default setting can be changed, not sure, haven't heard of anyone asking. You could have it set to "last setting" and you have to remember to turn your seats on before you turn it off and get out. If it gets to mid 30's in the winter we are taking of coats and wearing shorts.

Yep - hubby wanted the sport, but technically my car. Granted we car pool so he still drives the most. We both love the car. Even our 5 year old loves it.

We don't often get storms like that here either, but the backing into the driveway trick got me out onto the street a time or two in my old escort... that got through some pretty good storms.
