rocketace1 Posted August 27, 2014 Report Share Posted August 27, 2014 In my limited knowledge with the Edge (only a couple months ownership), the Sport with paddles does NOT have the +/- shift point on the gear knob, hence your MKX with the +/- may not be necessarily wired to accept the paddles... Get my point? I could be totally wrong tho'... Good luck on this project and let us know if you do succeed on it. I will surely be interested for curiosity sake... Yes, the Sport does not have the +/- button on the shift lever. Nor does the 2013 MKX that has Paddle shifters, you get either the shifter button or the paddles, but the wiring diagram doesn't seem to show it like that, my understanding of the diagram is that the wires for the shifter are the same for all Edges. They will show you where the wire would be if you had the option, but they will not tell you which ones are deleted when you don't have certain options. CinnamonEdge Posted May 27, 2015 Report Share Posted May 27, 2015 Looking at this diagram I dont see a reason you couldnt have both controls! if you look at it you'll notice the paddle shifter is an open circuit that shifts when closed.
