In computer vision (think of a camera viewing things on an assembly line to view the edge of the item for inspection or for a robot to do something with the object), the edge is determined by an algorithm. One of the most popular and best algorithms for edge detection is the Canny edge detector. I wanted to get CANNY on my plates which relates to the vehicle as well as my background. Canny has other meanings, though, such as shrewd, and I wanted to emphasize the edge detection aspect. Can't spell GEEK without a double E. Anybody get that?
