No lubrication as far as I know. Could also be the wiper switch. Best to check with ForScan for any codes to better diagnose the issue.

While driving in the rain today my front wipers stopped working, and then started again after turning a corner. Wasn't a heavy rain so I was turning them off and on again. They stopped for a long time. figured I'd blown a fuse but then abruptly started again after a sharp left turn. Some months ago I did replaced the wiper blades with Motorcraft blades. Is there something that needs lubrication? New wiper motor? Thanks

I've used Redline products for over 20 years and never had any issues, even though I never asked for approval from a car manufacturer, even while the car was under warranty. That goes for gear oil, transmission oil and engine oil. I'm happy with Redline's recommendation. Plus, how would Ford even know the difference? Are they going to send the oil out for analysis? Maybe. They are more likely to deny a claim simply because the Service Rep at your Dealer is a < fill in appropriate name here > and they do not want to process the claim. If a different product meets the Govt. same spec, or higher, than the OEM product, then you have met the OEM spec, at a minimum. It's all a personal choice as to which way you go. I offered the info because: 1. The XY75WQL is expensive and not easy to obtain. I'm not paying $50 a quart ( or whatever they charge ) from a Dealer 2. The MT-LV 70W/75W is an alternative from a highly reputable company ( we are not talking Walmart-branded or any other unknown source product ) 3. The MT-LV 70W/75W is easily available at a much lower cost 4. Since I am changing both the RDU and PDU fluids at 20K intervals, it will be refreshed a lot sooner than Ford's recommendations -
I bought Kuga MK3 ACM, JX71-18K810-ZR. Take into account that you will need to modify the chasis as the mounting brackets don’t fit. I used threaded rivets to achieve this. I also exchanged the antenna amplifier because there’s no such pin in the new ACM. JX7T-18C847-AB (from Focus MK4) fitted quite well. Another thing is that GPS antena has a splitter near the passengers glove box. Then there are two wires ended with Fakra plugs - 1st goes into the ACM (it’s for the satellite radio) and the 2nd goes into the APIM. If you leave it like that, you won’t have GPS signal in your APIM (antenna is powered from the one wire only - that one which is for the ACM). Therefore you need either to remove the splitter or to make an adapter from yellow fakra to blue fakra (I did it this way). And obviously you need to make an adapter for the ACM main plugs as they are much different + coding.

im replacing the lower control arm on my 2010 mkx, and im getting some mixed info. a couple of places are saying 111ft/lbs for all 3 bolts, another is saying 111ft/lb for the long front bolt and 59ft/lbs for the two back ones. i see some places saying to torque under load and others saying it doesnt matter. whats the correct procedure? ive spent the last 45 mins searching for this now... thanks. -
First of all, Ford definitely can deny you warranty coverage by making you prove that the lubricant used is equal to the one they recommend. Assuming that they PTU lubricant is actually the US Lubricants, 300 Waylube, your Redline won't measure up (it's why is so much less expenseve.) But it may be sufficient. Don't take the word of a competitor. Get it in writing from Ford. For example, i refused to allow my local Lincoln dealer to switch my MKX from yellow coolant to the new green; until I got a printout of an email from the local Ford district administrator.

Edge is covered. Confirmed - Ford recalls more than 200,000 vehicles for a rear camera failure that can lead to crashes https://share.google/qctStZRpmnFxyZNiz

Yes. It is not available on the Play store, however, they do now offer an independent version that can be side loaded and license purchased. I originally had the the Play store version and when it stopped working ForScan gave me a license for the independent version and it works.

Just an update on the Disconnect RDU gear oil: Ford Recommended Gear Oil = Motorcraft Rear Axle Oil - XY75WQL at a mere $32.99 on Amazon. I just got off the phone with Redline Technical Service. According to Redline, their corresponding oil will be Red Line 50604 MT-LV 70W/75W GL-4 High-Performance Full Synthetic Gear Oil Lubricant for Manual Transmissions & Transaxles - 1 Quart. for $22 on Amazon Nothing apparently available from Motul. Just an FYI for those interested. Also Note: While it's true as stated by someone earlier, Ford can't deny you ( allegedly ) any claim if you use Ford Recommended products. However, in reality, the manufacturer can't deny a claim as long as you use the appropriate grade product, IE; if you use a comparable 5W-30 motor oil other than Ford product, all else being equal, they can't deny you. Just remember to use quality products, not some cheap version from Walmart, etc. -
Hi, could you tell me which ACM module you installed in your car? I'm also from Poland and I want to get DAB and RDS to work, and what else you might have bought to make it work.
