Thanks to all for your input, will have to check out Targets ad, see if Best buys can do better. Will probably put about 1,500 or more songs on it, have lots of good Polka's to add, plus my wife's favorites. Joe

Went out shopping for a new Ipod, saw a Apple Ipod Nano, one is 6th generation, 16 GB for 4,000 songs. They also have one with wifi, 8GB, for $184, and the same one with 32 GB, for $299, on sale of $279 at Best Buy's. The question is not the price, but does anyone in the forum think that the one with 32 GB will take too long for indexing? I've read some threads that some have problems with the larger GB's, and some don't. These are both Ipod Nano 4th generation, which are on the "approved list" on syncmyride. Thanks, Joe

My new MKX is silver with black, loe it looks sharp. My wife has a '09 MKS, cinnamon in color, looks awesome, but a real pain to keep clean. Also, dark colors show even dust a lot faster then lighter colors. If it doesn't bother you that dark gets dusty/dirty quicker, cinnamon looks great, but if you are OCD like me go light. On the average, I was the wifes car at leat once a week, sometimes more, but yes, it does look sharp ! Joe

Maybe if you could get the "top cap"ection off, you could get to it. Try and Google "how to get of outside mirror cap on a 2011 Ford Edge", see if you get any hits.

WOW, pretty sharp looking set of wheels. I'm debating if I should go with winter tires. Here in New Jersey, our winters usually aren't that bad, but watch, if I don't go with winter shoes, we'll probably get snow up to our "A" holes ! Richy, Next time the wife and I go out to Frankenmuth, Mi for another Polka Fest, we'll have to take a ride over and meet you. We were out tonight, about a hour from home, highway driving without the cruise on, and averaged 25.7 mpg, so I'm pretty happy with that, and I only have a little over 550 miles on the "X". Joe

Maybe you could try another dealer, one that would be more cooperative, and if not, tell your dealer that you will write to Ford and tell them how unhappy you are with their attitude. I'm sure that they wouldn't want that to happen. Things like this will keep them from getting the Presidents award for service. Joe

Yeah, mabe I did spend quite a few "extra" bucks for my MKX, but am loving every friggin minute of it. :happy feet: I'm well over the "50 year old mark", and feel at this point, I deserved to "spoil the shit" out of myself, I'm going around only once, and this is what I've wanted. By no means, did I intend to offend any Edge owner, they are great trucks too. My post was only intended so that it gave JohnPR an avenue to look into. Joe

Just thought that I would "report in", after having my '12 MKX for 2 weeks now. The vehicle exceeds all my expectations. Having come out of a '06 Explorer Limited, this feels like a sports car to me. The ride, handling, comfort, and technology are unreal. The only "glitch" is when the heat is on, all is fine, but when I switch over to defrost only, the air comes out cold. Have an appointment to bring it in in 2 days, the service rep seems to know what the problem is. It will blow warm air, if I turn it up to 80 degrees. Even my wife thinks that this is a "fun" car to drive, but I'm not giving it up, she has her MKS, which a real nice ride. My Lincoln Touch has been pretty good, a bit on the slow side, at times, but not that bad. :happy feet: Joe

My '12 MKX has a glove box light, maybe the wiring is here in your Edge, just need to buy the light..........something that your service dept should know about (the wiring, that is).

Yes, lets see what the upgrade brings. Have my '12 MKX 2 weeks, just a little slow at times. Otherwise, loving the car (CUV). The only problem is that my wife likes it too, maybe I'll be driving her MKS.............Doesn't matter to me !

Have my Ingot Silver/Black MKX for almost 2 weeks, keep on going back to Royal Blue, 2nd choice is Aqua, then Red.
