Holy shit, did you come out ok? If not, get better soon. I have to admit, one hell of a GREAT wax job on it, what kind of wax do you use ? Joe
  2. They don't look bad at all. Can you post pics of them installed on your Edge?

Cars can be replaced, Lives can't. Glad you are okay. You will love the Sport, or any Edge you choose.
  4. Yeah, my wife is NOT ALLOWED to park by curbs with my "X", she knows better ! To expensive to replace if they get messed up.
  5. Hey Chris, Don't we have a warranty for rust - something like 6 years or so. Wife is out with my MKX, otherwise I would check the manual. YES, I do let her drive it............on occasion ! Have friends out in Northfield, Akron, & Burton......................you near them? Joe

    Real Carbon Fiber!

Hey Dingo, sorry to hear of your upcoming surgery, but if you need a cane, do it in style. Looks pretty cool. LOL when you have the replacement done. Joe
  7. My dealer told me that when I get the update in the mail, call them and they will do it and make sure that everything updates correctly. That's what I call customer satisfaction - kudo's to Maplecrest Ford/Lincoln in Union, NJ.
  8. Ditto from me, too ! Once you get use to using voice commands, you get to really love it. Even for changing Audio & climate, you don't have to take your eyes off the road.
  9. I wouldn't be overly concerned about MyFordTouch. Have my "X" 2 1/2 months, and 1 minor glitch that a disconnect and reconnect ot the + battery cable, and all fine since. From various video's (including youtube) the update looks awesome, and even if you get an '11 or '12, the update would apply. Love the vehicle, ride, handling, power, quietness - all superb. Go out and treat youself, get what options you want, you'll be driving it every day !
  10. Looks good, would consider them for my MKX, which has 20's on it.
  11. You're absolutely correct, and it's NOT JUST Ford ! My cousin took mhis Lexus ES in for servicing the other day, and they told him that they also took care of recall blah-blah-blah, that was from a while ago, and they never notified him of it. Now, when there is a recall, every effort should be made to contact the owners, don't ya thinks ?
  12. Same here, I had a '06 Explorer, didn't want anything bigger, so I downsized.
  13. Glad that you got the info from John, "he's good people. I'm waiting for them to get the softwae update for the rear gate. John also said when the main sync update comes in, to bring in the "X", and they will do it to make sure everything updates as it's supposed to. Maplecrest is without a doubt, a GREAT dealership. Joe
  14. Regarding you rear door problem, i am assuming that you are referring to the liftgate. There a numerous posts on this issue, and from what my dealer told me, and other posts on this problem, it is a software issue, being worked on by Ford. Keep on your dealers butt regarding this.
  15. Congradulations with your new Edge.........enjoy ! Have had mostly Ford products in my life, otherwise 2 GM's, back in the '70's. Ford has always had great vehicles, had a '95 Explorer, which I sold to friends for their daughter for college, and that was back in '02, had over 150K on it back then. Their daughter just SOLD it last summer, she picked up a newer one, and a that point, it had well over 200K on it, and still ran great. Let us know what model/color/options you got. Joe
  16. You're welcome Cellbine, that's what we're here for - to help each other, in all respects.
  17. It's going to be a option on the 2013's-------------------connect hose to valve stem, but mask over nose, and take deep breaths !
  18. Tell your dealer that they are full of it, there are a number of us with this problem, as 'The outrage" posted, there is a software revision in the works, my dealer knew of this a few weeks ago. Don't let them bullshit you, let them do a little investigation, better yet, print out these posts from all of us, and show it to them. They can call my dealership, Maplecrest Ford/Lincoln, locaated in Union, NJ, their phone @ is 908-964-7700, option # 2 for service. LOL Joe
  19. wlepse, Have you tried disconnecting the posative battery cable, waiting a few seconds, and then reconnecting it? The system will then reboot, takes a few minutes, and then see if that clears up your problem. Service dept said that this is a lot more effective than pulling fuse 29.
  20. Haven't had any problem finding a comfortable position with the seats in my "X", as a matter of fact, so much more comfortable than the seats in my '06 Explorer.
  21. Sounds cool, enjoy it, I'm sure a big change from your previous ones.
  22. Had a few spots on my wheels when In first got the "X", used a paper towel with some gaasoline on it, then a fresh coat of wax on all wheels. In the past, have used WD40 to remove "crap", worked real well. Had friends that bought a new stainless stell dish washer, had crap on it, told them to use WD40, and whamo, like majic, took the adhesive right off. Might want to give it a try. Joe
  23. Try having her raise the back part of the seat up a bit, maybe it's set too low. Joe
  24. YUP, ya gotta live in New Jersey, we also have the best tax rate in the country (wanna hear another joke?).
