Seeing that you are leasing, you might want to check out if they allow window tinting. They usually want a car back the way you got it - no modifications. You tint, there might be a penalty at the end of the lease. Don't want to see you get screwed down the road. Joe

When I've gotten tar on the car, I've taken a paper towel, put some gasoline on it, and it tookm it right off. Then put some wax over the area. I've done this for years and years and years, and have never screwed up the paint. A friend had "gobs" of tree sap on his Lexus, he bought many products, and they did not take it off. I told him tom try the old gasoline trick, and it worked !

Did you check with local salvage yards? How about E-Bay, you might get lucky there. Joe

Don't know for msure, but I think that the MKX is supposed to mcome with a glove box light. If it does, I bet it could be installed in the Edge pretty easily. True, A shame it is not included, my '06 Explorer Limited has it, but not the wifes MKS,! Go figure.

Possibly the weathertech might be a little heavier material, and I think that they have the hole for the drivers side floor anchor. Got my nephew Husky liners for a Christmas gift ( what he wanted). They seemsed okay, didn't get me excited, but this was what he wanted. They were no great bargain, either.

Everything that I've heard and read about, indicate tha it will be the I4. Maybe Ford is planning tom offer the V6 as an option for the Edge Sport ........................now wouldn't that be special ! :happy feet:

Just got my wife's MKS ( I know, it's not a Edge or MKX) back from the 30,000 service, from Maplecrest Ford / Lincoln in Union, NJ. They did multi point inspection, tire rotation, brake check, oil/filter, trans fluid and filter, and the cost was $201.21, a fair price in my books ! WE have 7/100,000 extended warranty on the car, and I'll let Maplecrest handle all servicing needs, they have competent techs, and decent prices. Joe

Some dealers are real nice, and will do it for no charge, as I stated in a earlier post (above), and then again, some dealers are just real Richard Craniums !

When my wife and I would lease a car, we always negotiated on the price of the car first, then sat down to calculate lease payments. You really have to be careful with leasing, a dealer might base it on 10,500 miles a year, to keep the payment lower, but if you go over that in miles, you will pay dearly at the end. Unless you really don't drive that much, I would go with yearly mileage of 12,000.

Just my 2 cents on this. Have you contacted a dealer on this problem? If not, give them a call,it's possible that there is a problem with your car. A friend has a local Tranmission repair shop, and he said that people should use the parking brake, they are put in cars for a spefic reason. I always use the parking brake, and have gotten my wife to use it in her MKS, too. Keep us updated on this, and don't be too hard on Fords, "Henry" did well with the model "T".

I was back at Pep Boys today, buying myself a bunch of stuff, and picked up a new tire dressing. It's called Lucas slick mist fast and easy tire and trim shine, thats WATER BASED ! Will give it a shot next week, and will post my opinion of it.

Picked up some stuff at Pep Boys the other week, called Nano Diamond Shield. Pretty awesome stuff. Their website ( with video's ) is WWW.NANODIAMONDSHIELD.COM. It's supposed to gie 23 months protection.

Some phones do not have the capability of texting with bluetooth. We have to upgrade our year old LG phones to get this to work.

Like you said, nothing like the protection that rubber gives ( ha-ha), but sometimes you want to be pampered ! AUTOANYTHING.COM has a large selection, Give them a try. That's one place that most American cars fall short, they skimp on floor mat quality. They should at least offer a upgraded carpeted mat, both in carpet density, and floor coverage, even at an additional cost.
