  1. Hey Jim, Seems that you have a really screwed up problem. Never heard of anything like that before. Hey EVERYONE, can anybody out there help him ? Joe
  2. Hey jmbreeze23, where are you located in OH ?, have friends in Northfield & Burton.
  3. Check SyncMyRide for tested compatible devices.
  4. years ago, had portable navs. couldn't get the vent holders to stay in place, always fell off, and windshield mounts kept item too far away. Give me built in's an day, Rather spend extra bucks up front.
  5. I have to agree, I rather spend the "extra" bucks up front for additional "options/goodies", but you have to do whatever "floats your boat" (or Edge/MKX) !
  6. Hey Richy, looking good, they really look good with the black exterior. Here in NJ, we usually don't get that much snow, maybe a few storms each winter, so I'm going to hold off for now, plus the wife would get upset if I spent extra bucks . Safe driving. Joe
  7. I guess I'll have to open and close mine every day, and see what happens after another month or so.
  8. Good question you have there. Maybe you could call you dealer's service dept, and ask them.. So, you live in Conyngham, I have friends that lived there years ago, now live in Morea, a little "patch", near Mahonoy City, just outside of Frackville, get to visit them a few times a year.
  9. Hey Jim, thank god you got the problem resolved, amazing what a bum battery can do. Joe
  10. :happy feet: And you'll be even MORE EXCITED when you get you new "X" ! The only problem that I know you will definately have when you get it, is that you won't want to stop driving it. I considered sleeping in mine the first night I got it, but my wife put the "nix" on that one !
  11. When I had my 06 Explorer, I got just a little over 3 years when the battery went, and on my wife's 09 MKS, we got 37 months when the battery was a little slow starting one day, and the next day, it just wouldn't turn over. Jump started okay, Dealership replaced the battery free of charge, because Lincoln gives 4 years/50K bumper to bumper. I understand that the brand Interstate batteries are supposed to be one of the best. Might want to check them out. Joe
  12. I just checked on my MKX, and didn't see any screws, so I would assume that it would just "pop" off. You might want to "Google" that question - how to remove console back cover on a 2010 Ford Edge, and see what kind of "Hits" you get. or else, maybe stop by a local body shop or interior shop and ask them. Then again, you could try your local Ford dealership, and ask them.
  13. 5K service should include oil/filter & tire rotation. Regarding the "My Temp" button, I just checked mine ('12 MKX ), and it is white, only the "Dual" button will glow amber if the passenger changes their cabin temperature. If you hit the "dual" button again, it will take the system from 2 sided temps, to 1 temp mode.
  14. From what my dealer told me, Ford thinks that the program update might be out within a few weeks. As soon as I hear, I'll let you know. I have some good buddies that live in Northfield, Sagamore Hills (Cleve 'burbs). Some real sweet area, and prices for the homes make a peerson wanting to leave (NJ), the wife say's NO WAY JOSE !
  15. :happy feet: Praise the Lord, thank God that it's fixed !
  16. The service dept at my dealership told me that for the '12's, the program for the rear liftgate is being rerwritten, to correct the problem. If your Edge/MKX is a '11 or older, then it's replacing the rear gasket.
  17. The "pinch strip", is the rubber gasket aqround the opening. Found out from my dealer today, this effected model years up to '11, and for the 12's they changed it, but there are issues with the '12's not closing, and Ford told the tech at my dealership, that the program for the liftgate is being rewritten to correct the problem of not always closing. My dealer did do an adjustment on the rear latch, and so far all is okay !
  18. Thr backup camera on my MKX is super clear, a BIG improvement over the one that is on my wife's '09 MKS.
  19. The warm feeling coming over you is probably because you wet you pants (sorry, couldn't resist that)
  20. Got my '12 MKX back from the dealer yesterday, regarding cold air from front defroster & power liftgate not always closing. As previously posted, the heat could be set at 70, warm air from floor outletsm and when chabged to floor/defrost, qall still okay, but when changed to defrost only, the air would come out a lot colder, and also at times, could be set for a temp at 72 in auto mode, and at first heat would come out, then A/C would come on and cold air. They said Ford got back and said that A/C might come on in defrost mode, to reduce humidity, but not to blow cold air. The tech then calleds someone else, and they admitted that there have been problems, and it will be corrected when the update comes out 1st qtr. Regarding the rear liftgate not always closing, they were told that the program for that is being rewritten, Ford is aware of this problem, so i guess I'll see what happens in a few months. Joe
  21. :happy feet: Looks really promising, now we have the "waiting game" to see how soon it gets delivered. Thank god for a new SD card, too.
  22. Congrats on your new wheels, and let us know how you like the ecoboost, they look tough in white.
