  1. I can't imagine you needing new shocks unless you do a lot of rough terrain traveling. My '07 has 88k miles and I don't feel a need for shocks (99.5% smooth surfaces, with 0.5% gravel road shortcut occassionally). As for the LTX-MS; that may be the wrong tire for the Edge; between my '95 F150 and a '97 Explorer I had a few sets of those; great tires on those trucks, but I think it may be to much of an LT where I think the Edge would feel more comfortable on a P or not-so-much-LT. The LTX is probably a heavier tire as well, so that could be contributing to your shock issue. Personally, I like the Toyo Open Country HT for the Edge (I have the Toyo Versado CUV right now but its too cushy for my driving style).

  3. You couldn't burn another 2/32" to have them all fully warranted??? Which Toyos you going with?
  4. I had an incident once where the traction control kicked in twice on the way home. Dry pavement, normal acceleration and nothing out of the ordinary. The traction control light came on, you could hear it engage and it lost power. Hasn't happened again since. Strange.
  5. The Pilot is more of a competitor of the Explorer than the Edge (IMO). Honda doesn't have a vehicle that's comparable to the Edge. My sister-in-law has a 2011 CRV; it's slow, small, and noisy.
  6. Welcome to the club! What color did you get? I also have an '07 SEL+. No mods or upgrades; still bone stock except for tires and tail light bulbs... I have 2 girls (5 & 9) and they sleep like babies with the seats leaned back; one of the best of many features on the Edge. Enjoy!
  7. I'm not sure about '08s but my '07 doesn't beep. For mine, after you adjust your seat mad mirrors to where you want them you simply press Set and then the 1 or 2 button. I have noticed it doesn't always keep the mirror setting. Either, or sometimes both mirrors will reposition in some random manner after I press 1 to return to my setting.
  8. Maybe that's because you just can't let it go...
  9. Thanks but I really don't need any additional encouragement to drive any faster through there...
  10. Looks pretty slick; please post a picture once you have it installed as I'm curious as to where those upper hooks will be placed.
  11. ...and you were driving what??? With all that equipment, can I get a high speed escort from Brookwood to Peachtree Industrial in the AM???
  12. They are removable; there are some folks on this forum that removed them and had them painted. There are also some folks on here that have painted their grills.
  13. And how exactly would you mount such a device on the Edge liftgate?
  14. Cool, thanks! Good to hear. I think it weakened after crossing 400. We had the sirens going off so we spent about an hour in the basement, but the worst of it was just south of us. Mostly rain here, not really much wind. A friend in Kennesaw had some siding removed from his house.
  15. What LEDs did you go with and where did you get them? Any storm damage this evening?
  16. If it was at least 4 less than 2 weeks ago, it's at least five now. I just had to replace the other one today. I think I will now look for some LEDs...
  17. I'm considering buying stock in Sylvania...I just replaced one of mine again last weekend; I've lost count on how many I have changed, but I know it's at least 4 since I bought it new in '07. They have the same charred look but I've never smelt anything in the car.
  18. Download the pdf and you can search it much easier...plus, then you too can throw info back at those that didn't RTM...
  19. I routinely run 0 to empty before filling up (even drove 15 miles after it read 0 to empty once). My most recent filling was 17.7 gal and that was after driving about 2 miles after 0 to empty. My daughter was with me and saw it hit zero and I told her she was going to have to help me push if we didn't make it to the gas station...she got nervous for a second going up a hill as I let off the gas to let it start slowing down...
  20. i just thought of something else; do you have anything plugged into the power oulets like a cell phone or mp3 player charger?
  21. I had to replace my battery after 3 years, but I haven't experienced any type of continual battery drain. Have you checked to make sure all the lights turn off? Like the vanity mirror lights in the visors? That's about the only other thing I can think of...certainly can't be the glovebox light...
  22. I was headed that direction; it was near Medlock Bridge; may have been at Lakefield Dr
  23. Hmm...I saw a car just like that earlier today...waiting to turn on McGinnis Ferry probably around 5:15ish PM...??
  24. At least yours was giving you a warning. Mine started one morning, took the youngest to daycare, came back out and absolutely nothing. No attempt to turn over, click or anything. That was nearly 2 years ago (so that would have been 3 years after purchase) so I ditto what akirby and railroad say.
