  1. Actually it says that feature is part of Sync Connect which is separate from apple carplay. I think applink and Carplay and Android Auto will be base sync 3 capabilities while sync connect will be a separate add-on which comes with the 4G LTE modem.
  2. I'm sure you'll be able to add the 4G LTE modem. As luminator points out this is already available as a stand alone accessory.
  3. You're right. I hid them. Sorry!
  4. The door lock bump uses the same sensors as the IA unlock so yes, same issue. If you can't unlock you won't be able to lock it either. Both require the IA fob sensor.
  5. But here's the thing - you're going to need a new battery within the next year or two anyway so why not go ahead and get one? Worst case you don't have to worry about it going out later and you're set for another 3-4 years for only $100. And there is at least a good chance it fixes this problem.
  6. Trust me - it's probably the battery even if you don't see any other typical symptoms. With all the electronics it can be sensitive to voltage fluctuations. It's certainly got guaranteed but there have been report after report of flaky electronics behavior with a seemingly good battery that were solved with a new battery. I don't know if there is a single module that controls the ignition start, door sensors and trunk sensor - if there is then it could also be that module. If there are separate modules then that points back to a battery problem.
  7. Dealer must activate a second key if you only have one - for security reasons. Otherwise any mechanic or valet with one key could add their own key. If you have two working keys you can add a third.
  8. Try the door lock/unlock from the passenger side. There are separate proximity sensors on each side of the vehicle for the doors. Also check trunk access. Do you have to put the key in the slot inside for it to start and run along with the door sensors not working - and on both keys? If so that sounds like a system problem with one of the modules or a flaky battery. If you're still on the OEM battery I would just go ahead and replace it. At the very least you can rule that out and you have a fresh battery for the next 3-4 years for $100.
  9. I just posted that question to the Ford employee forum over at blueovalforums.com. If anyone responds I'll post it here.
  10. If one tire is spinning with an open diff the other one isn't getting any torque, so no it's not possible.
  11. There are employees at blueovalforums.com that will track it for you if you follow the rules. But honestly - your dealer has all the same information available to them and you're paying them, so make your sales droid get updates for you.
  12. Except this is all new software built by different developers on different hardware and a different operating system.

  14. Maybe you needed to prime the return line or elevate it so it gravity feeds back to the tranny.

  17. It's adaptive steering, not power steering. They all have power steering.
  18. Do you have intelligent access? Is the fob in your pocket?
  19. And I don't see how the hood moving up and down would affect a radar reading. It would have to be moving forward to do that.
  20. So you have push button start and intelligent access for the rear hatch but no intelligent access for the front doors. They probably left out the proximity sensors on each side of the vehicle. I think they're in the B pillar. Definitely not in the doors.
  21. Well technically the 2016s aren't even on the lots yet. Could have been a recent change.
  22. Just because the wiring is in the doors doesn't mean you have the proximity sensors. It would be stupid for Ford to put in the proximity sensors and simply not turn them on. When you say you have intelligent access for the rear hatch, do you mean that you can approach a locked vehicle with the fob in your pocket and touch the rear hatch button and it opens without having to unlock it first? And when it closes does it lock again? Is it powered or manual opener?
