  1. It's probably a pre-production model. They typically send them to the various dealerships for training purposes. That's how they can schedule it ahead of time. That won't be a dealership vehicle.

  3. For me it's the fact that the RPM doesn't change when accelerating. It wasn't bad and there was no problem from a performance standpoint but it just didn't feel right.
  4. Cars die all the time every day for a variety of reasons. Deadly is a little sensationalistic. If you're driving in such a way that other cars are going to hit you if your car stalls then you're probably not driving safely to begin with. Not trying to minimalize the problem - I wouldn't want a vehicle that dies constantly and it needs to be fixed. Ford had similar problems on the Fusion with bad throttle bodies. Hopefully it's something that can be fixed simply and quickly.
  5. If you look hard enough you'll find problems on just about any vehicle out there.
  6. Whatever you use make sure it meets the spec in your owner's manual.
  7. You drove a 2015 - the 2016s don't start production until next month. There were also body seam leaks early in the 2015 model run - not clear yet whether those have been completely fixed.
  8. If you keep insisting that you know more about vehicle drag and aerodynamics than Ford's engineers then nobody is going to take you seriously.
  9. Check the multitude of PTU leak threads down below this one in the AWD forum - lots of info.
  10. Depends on whether you want to keep the steering wheel controls - if so you'll need an adapter for that. If it has sync (voice controls and a usb input) then that won't work with the new head unit so he may actually lose functionality unless the new one also does that. You'd probably want an adapter to connect the pioneer to the factory harness as well.
  11. Could also just be the plastic reservoir - check the cap to make sure it's tight and check for leaks below it.
  12. Could be damaged. Does it still work in the car for songs? Have you tried it on a different PC? If it still doesn't work some type of recovery software is your only hope.
  13. Nothing. They're still shipping 2015s. The 2016s don't start until 12/2 anyway. It is disconcerting that they're having so many issues. I'm trying to wait on ordering a 2016 until they work out these factory issues.
  14. Yours will be built first unless your dealer has another order with the same 10 priority that was placed before yours. But yeah - 10 is the best you can get without factory intervention.
  15. Those tanks are prone to rust anyway and a new version is now available so yeah - replace it.
  16. Just remember the invoice price shown does not include the FDAF (advertising fee). Add about $400 to get the actual dealer invoice price.
  17. That's not Too Good to be Blue - it's Trop beau pour tre bleu
  18. Every order has a priority. When the dealer gets allocation from Ford for a particular vehicle, the orders for that vehicle are pulled and built in order of priority - lowest to highest. Retail (sold) orders are supposed to have priorities from 10-19 and dealer stock is 20-99. This ensures customer orders are built before stock orders. Within each range the dealer can use the priority to determine the build order. If multiple orders have the same priority they're built in order of the date received. But if the dealer wanted to get one order built faster even though it was placed days or weeks later they can just give that one order a lower priority than the others. The other consideration is for a new vehicle launch (and I think even for a model year change) they only build dealer stock orders until all the bugs are worked out on the assembly line (5 straight days of error free builds), then they start building the retail (sold) orders. The reason is those first builds may end up being held for inspections and repairs whereas anything built after the Ok to buy date (after 5 days of no errors) is shipped immediately from the line. In some cases those early build cars could be held for weeks or months so it's better to wait. Some dealers will give a retail order a stock priority (20+) so that it gets built before OK to buy but that's gambling that it won't get held long at the factory and could backfire.
  19. Not if the tire diameters are the same (which they should be). You just get a taller sidewall.
  20. FordService can probably help, but honestly this is all on the dealer. You may need to find a new one.
  21. Priority 80 is really high. Customer orders should be 10-19.
  22. You'll have to hold your phone a little closer to the keyboard............... (no linky)
