  1. That system just splices into the touchscreen with a separate navigation system. It does not add the MFT navigation feature. Just FYI.
  2. 1 - it doesn't matter whether something is a defective design or not - the warranty terms still apply even to known defects or design flaws. Otherwise it would be a limited lifetime warranty against defects. 2 - If the dealer told you the Ford Premium ESP was a bumper to bumper warranty then they lied. Ford publishes exactly what is covered by the Premium ESP in their documentation and on the website. Nowhere is it represented as bumper to bumper. It does cover a lot of things, but not everything. Here is some more information. You don't have to guess at what is covered. https://www.floodfordesp.com/premiumcare.php
  3. Ford just released a new version of MFT that includes Siri Eyes Free. That should dispel any rumours of Ford abandoning MFT support.

    Leg Pain

You can but you may end up with half your Edge (and everything else)!

    Leg Pain

Another source of leg pain can be your wallet. Try putting it in your front pocket or in the console.
  6. 16s start production 12/2 but probably won't start hitting dealer lots until mid to late January at the earliest. They added the package to the 2015s last month as promised.
  7. 2010 is pre-MFT. It is possible I think by swapping out the head unit but I'm not sure what other parts or needed or if it requires dealer programming. Did you try to google it?
  8. No. They'll probably show up first on edmunds.com or one of those sites.
  9. See if this helps. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10901-anyone-know-how-to-remove-and-fix-a-rear-reclining-seat-recliner-function-no-longer-works-properly/
  10. Legal requirements. They can't build 2015s after January 1st.
  11. You can get keys from eBay and have them cut at a locksmith. If you only have one key the dealer will have to add the new one (for security reasons - don't want a valet to be able to add their own key).
  12. Retail (sold) orders are not built until after the OKTB date, only dealer stock.
  13. Entirely possible it's not open yet. It's not going to matter much - your order won't be built until after the OK to buy (after job1). They aren't built in order based on the order date. When your dealer receives allocation, the order with the lowest priority gets built first. Retail (sold) orders are supposed to be priority 10-19 and dealer stock 20+. If there are multiple vehicles with the lowest priority then it goes by order date. As long as your dealer gives you a priority 10 you'll be fine.
  14. But they replaced it with shadow black.
  15. It's a lot lighter in the sunlight on a real car. I like it. Still not sure if TGTBB is the same color though. Edit: It does appear to be the same paint code (LC).
  16. This is Allure blue on the MKX. It is not a lighter baby-ish blue.
  17. Kona blue should be the same as other vehicles. Too good to be blue appears to be a really dark blue - navy or slightly darker. Only saw a smalll sample on a fleet guide PDF so take that with a grain of salt.
  18. Gotcha. I thought the plug was accessible via the mounting hole.
  19. So it really is plug and play - headliner doesn't need to be removed.
  20. Order guide just posted: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/19022-2016-ford-edge-order-guide/

  22. 16V sounds too high - I would expect more like 14.7 or less. The output is variable. I assume the 580 is CAs or CCAs - if the spec is in the 600s then 580 isn't terrible, but if the battery was reconditioned then I would just go ahead and replace it just to be safe, then see what happens. Should only cost $100-$125 at the most and you won't have to worry about it for 3-4 years. It could still be the alternator or even a bad cable or ground connection.
  23. Things like that change from model to model and year to year so it's not surprising they weren't sure if it was normal or not. I know I can't keep track of changes like that on just one or two models.
  24. I'm still confused about needing to remove the headliner - isn't the plug for the visor wiring already there (like the Escape picture)? Or do some Edges not have a lighted visor?
