  1. If it's not getting voltage from the SJB then there is nothing you can do to reset it yourself and Ford is not going to cover it under any type of warranty since it's likely the ballast is what caused it zonk out in the first place.
  2. MKC is a Lincoln. Edge is a Ford. In the U.S. If folding mirrors is a requirement for Europe or other countries then I'm sure they'll be provided on whichever vehicles need it. Mondeo is similar. It gets a lot of features that we only get on the MKZ (LED headlamps e.g.). Because in Europe Mondeo is closer to MKZ in pricing.
  3. I would also question whether Audi build quality is better than Lincoln.
  4. The point is you can look at any vehicle and point out something it's missing versus the competition. Edge has things the others don't and vice versa. More HP e.g. I don't see the need for electric folding mirrors on such a relatively small vehicle in the first place and I'm sure Ford feels the same way therefore it wasn't a priority.
  5. This was noted by a T-mobile rep: Do you have any third party calling and/or texting apps installed on the phone? If so, these have been known to cause problems with calling while connected through Bluetooth and it might be worth uninstalling these. If not, please attempt a soft reset of the phone by removing the battery, leaving the phone off for a minute and reinserting the battery.
  6. But do those other SUVs/CUVs have all the other equipment that the Edge has? Can they parallel park themselves?
  7. You didn't follow the directions in the owner's manual. Programming a personal entry code and keypad association to memory feature To create your own personal entry code: 1. Enter the factory set code. 2. Within five seconds press the 1 • 2 on the keypad. 3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. Each number must be entered within five seconds of each other. 4. For memory recall feature, enter the sixth digit 1 • 2 to store driver 1 settings or 3 • 4 to store driver 2 settings. Note: Pressing 5 • 6, 7 • 8, or 9 • 0 keypad numbers as a sixth digit will not recall a driver memory setting.
  8. Nope. It's there to protect Ford from stupid lawsuits. You can get manuals and guides from http://www.motorcraftservice.com
  9. I tend to look at these things from a business standpoint. It really doesn't matter whether a problem is known or not or widespread or not - it's still a manufacturing defect and subject to the warranty terms. If you want protection beyond the factory warranty you have to purchase it. OTOH I think it's good customer service to extend the warranty on parts with a higher than average failure rate. Ford seems to be walking the line here, doing it sometimes and not others. The difference is I don't really fault them for not extending the warranty.
  10. I did a few years ago. I think the adjuster is inside another plastic piece. Look for a hole you can insert a screwdriver in the general area pointed out in the manual.
  11. There is a big difference between not owning up to problems and not extending the factory warranty on an item that's know to fail in some cases. I've seen Ford do extended warranties on certain parts and certain vehicles so it does happen. I don't know what they use to decide each case. I would like to see Ford extend the warranty on parts with known high failure rates.
  12. There were some bad switches. You can either replace the lever assembly or someone posted a DIY procedure to fix it yourself if you're out of warranty.
  13. A year? I thought the A5 map update was just released a few months ago?
  14. If you tested the right leads - yes. Chances are you need new fans. Here is the topic : http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12731-radiator-fan-assembly-replacement-procedure/?view=findpost&p=112727
  15. My daughter has an iPhone 6 and I think it's working just fine. She hasn't complained yet to tech support.
  16. If the wiring harness is the same then I'd say probably.
  17. That confirms that it goes to a server first and that's the part that's not working so I don't think it's the car. Should be easy for support to test it on their end.
  18. That plus the hydrogen generator and a Tornado air swirler would have yielded 86 mpg on the F-150. Idiots!
  19. It's possible that it's waiting while sync contacts the vehicle, but what if the vehicle isn't running? Seems more likely to be a server issue. Has anyone else tried it to make sure it's not just a problem with your account? Once you know that I'd call Ford. In the meantime a hard reboot won't hurt.
  20. Absolute snake oil. They're tricking the PCM by altering the electronic signal from the MAF. Any benefit is temporary as the PCM will adjust to it based on the O2 sensors. Also - the MAF by itself will not increase airflow 45%. Run Forrest Run! TANSTAAFL!
