  1. I would think the owner of the vehicle is responsible for that not the driver. But it may vary by state.
  2. What is the passenger side temp setting? They're independent. Press and hold the Auto button to link both sides together. If they're set to the same temp and it's still blowing hot on one side then take it back for warranty service. It's either a sensor or the controller.
  3. The workaround is to buy it locally, but I don't think you have to buy it from any specific dealer - it just can't be bought online from a company outside of Florida.
  4. That depends on what you define as decent sound. Check out another one at the dealer and see if it's the same as yours. If so that's just the way it's designed. If not then yours has a problem.
  5. The FWD 6F55 can handle the torque just like it does with the 3.5L EB. Intake and exhaust changes on the transverse version along with tuning differences might result in slight differences but it should be within 10 hp and lb/ft.
  6. Nope. That info only goes to the NSA. It does seem to keep track of the current track and playlist but that's it and I don't think that's user accessible. That said a Master Reset would most likely get rid of it.
  7. I think a lot of people would ditch AWD for a 400+ RWD sport model. Not that it's happening....
  8. The 6F55 used in the ecoboost explorer, MKS and MKT and Taurus should be able to handle it. Those top out at 365 lb/ft with more torque at lower rpm.
  9. 2.0EB, reworked 3.5L and a new 2.7L EB. Those are confirmed but not the exact power numbers.
  10. Note that this only works for non-DRM protected music files.
  11. See if you have anything stuck in the tread. If not my guess would be a bad wheel bearing or bad tire.
  12. Probably a fuse. Recheck all of them including the power distribution box under the hood.
  13. There is a free program called itunes export that works great.
  14. Sorry I meant laminated glass not safety glass. There was a lawsuit on an explorer rollover where several occupants who were unbelted flew out the window and were killed. One of the lawsuit's complaints is that Ford did not use laminated glass on the doors which would have kept them in the vehicle. Totally ludicrous since they were also drunk and left the road before the rollover, but they actually won at least a partial settlement. I'm sure this was just done for sound control and not because of that but it is interesting.
  15. If you had it on MPG it would have shown 0.
  16. I didn't realize they were using safety glass on the side windows. That would be a bitch to try and break in an emergency, but that would explain the crack. Sometimes the insurance company waives or reduces the deductible for glass replacement since not fixing it could lead to more expensive claims. You should at least ask.
  17. The Touch part is the touch screen. The MFT software that people complain about (and rightly so in most cases) is for the touch screen. It has nothing to do with the information menu where you set the display formats. Even without MFT you still get the left hand menu with the same options. On those vehicles without MFT it's in the center display. So the menus you're complaining about have nothing to do with MFT. MFT is just the entertainment, phone, nav and climate controls and on MFT vehicles you can control those with the right hand display only. Not the left or single display. And if you look closely at page 417 you'll notice that it doesn't describe both screens - only the right hand screen. The left hand and center screens are on page 110.
