  1. Just trying to let you know my pet peeves BEFORE you violate them....... :)
  2. Simplest way is to turn off bluetooth pairing and plug it in to the usb port. Or put your music/books on a usb drive and use that instead. But I don't understand the advantage. If the phone isn't connected to Sync then it can be used like any other phone. At least with Sync you get hands free operation and voice commands to make calls, have texts read to you, etc. which I think is much safer than using the phone stand alone.
  3. You only need to remember 4 things: RTFM Don't tint your taillights (or if you do don't ask for opinions. ) Spell "brake" correctly RTFM Welcome!
  4. Traction control only operates on the drive wheels (FWD on the Edge). And if you have AWD then you won't have much wheel spin to begin with. Stability control also uses the brakes on an individual wheel at a time when you corner too fast. Now that the PCM has control over individual wheel brakes it makes it easier to change the braking balance for better performance whether it's front to rear bias or side to side bias or both. In the past the only control was front/rear bias. Also - having individual brake channels means a problem in one channel would only affect one wheel now.
  5. Looks like they're the ones that fit around the wheel with a band and yes, the wheel would have to be unmounted to install them.
  6. Rears wearing before the fronts is now common, but I don't think I've heard that one pad always wear faster than the other one. Caliper/pad designs have not changed.
  7. I don't understand why the inner pads would wear differently than the outer ones under normal use. Calipers should apply equal pressure on both sides of the rotor.
  8. If you're just replacing your existing ones then you should be able to just swap the sensors over from the old ones. If these are winter or summer only wheels then the tpms light will stay illuminated but nothing else will happen. I didn't think new sensors were $200 though - that might be a ripoff. Check around.
  9. Rear pads are wearing out faster than fronts is a good reason.
  10. It's still not funny......
  11. It usually requires a special kit to add adjustability but don't know if that's the case here or not. Try PM-ing Waldo.
  12. Think about it - if all vehicles were rated as ok by CR - nobody would read CR any more when considering vehicle purchases. They're struggling to keep themselves relevant as even the worst vehicles today are better than the best vehicles 20 years ago.
  13. I didn't realize it worked that way. My Fusion is keyless so it doesn't matter.
  14. Unless you end up with 20 options that only work part of the time versus 5 that work 100% of the time. It's always a trade off between features, time and stability. I'm all for more features if they work properly. This switch has probably been in the works for well over a year if not longer.
  15. So the answer is - yes and you need to get a remote start. See Omar302's link above.
  16. Then they can call it "DrPepperTouch" instead of MyFordTouch...........
  17. It only takes a glance to find the right answer - no worse than looking at a song title or the navigation map.
  18. It only does that if it doesn't understand what you're saying or if your request has multiple matches. Try speaking more clearly or faster or slower.
  19. BTW - steelers are a football team in Pittsburgh.....
  20. Your tinfoil hat is a little crooked......
  21. Should reset on its own after a few start stop cycles.
  22. It's simple - ford can't guarantee that you're using a safe product so they just recommend not to do it at all. CYA
