  1. Highway miles are easy miles. Get it checked out but if he's really the original owner then I wouldn't be too worried.
  2. If it came that way then your dealer did it. Costco has Nitrogen and probably all of the other tire stores. But if it was me I would use the more readily available 78% Nitrogen/21% oxygen blend that's available just about everywhere. It's called air. There isn't much real world benefit to Nitrogen. A few pounds of regular air won't hurt.
  3. I agree - I think you need a new alignment shop.
  4. With modern engines, 3K is not just overkill - it's a complete waste of oil. 5K is overly cautious. 10K or whatever the oil life monitor says is perfectly safe.
  5. It's probably a wiring/connector issue but you should get it checked out to be safe. Another possibility is a weak battery. That was a common issue on the Fusions where the airbag light would come on when the battery was weak, especially when starting on cold mornings. If your battery is more than 3 years old or you've had difficulty starting you might want to go ahead and replace the battery.
  6. Some U.S. dealers still try to get you to do 3K mile oil changes, which is ridiculous.
  7. Seems a little unlikely but certainly possible. You should be able to test the sensor outputs with a voltmeter, or just try replacing one to see if that code goes away.
  8. You mean like this? RTFM
  9. If you had a car with an analog oil pressure gauge, and you turn on the ignition without starting the vehicle, it will show no oil pressure because the engine (and the oil pump) aren't running. This really isn't any different. Lighting up the light also lets you make sure the light is working. Seems perfectly logical to me.
  10. My 6 yr old chrome clad wheels look brand new - no pitting at all. And they're lighter than chrome plated steel wheels. And it's not just Ford - GM and Chrysler are also doing it and the imports will be too if they haven't already started. Blame CAFE.
  11. The other thing to consider is paying $1000 up front vs. just paying for what you need as you go. Also - if you pay the $1K up front and then lose the vehicle for whatever reason you may not get the $1K back.
  12. Try the steering wheel buttons and see if you can reproduce the scanning. If there is no physical button that does it then it must be either the software or the touch screen itself.
  13. Which button triggers the scan? If it's the steering wheel button are you having any other issues with steering wheel controls? If so could be the clock spring.
  14. The "inspections" are what kills you. That's why it's so much cheaper here to DIY or just have them do the specific maintenance task (oil and filter only).
  15. I don't think it goes out totally, at least not initially. I think it's a gradual loss.
  16. I would be surprised if it was excluded from the regular or extended warranty.
  17. I think you can do it on your own for half that and have the flexibility to get it done whenever and wherever you want to.
  18. Is this an extended warranty or just a maintenance plan? What are the time/mileage requirements?
  19. The front doors have 2 way speakers that ford counts as 2 speakers each so it's 4 front and 2 rear.
  20. Because it dehumidifies the air. You can run the compressor to dehumidify the air and still have hot air. A/C does not equal cold air.
  21. Yes, you definitely want synthetic or your blinkers will be really slow in cold weather...
  22. I think it also comes on when defrost is engaged in addition to coming on in auto mode.
  23. It has nothing to do with vent selection. It runs the a compressor to dehumidify the air all the time but I thought it stopped around 1-2 Celsius since the air is bone dry at that temp and below.
  24. And the sad part is that Ford is powerless to do anything about it thanks to state franchise laws. If you have to go back tell then you want the blinker fluid flushed.
