  1. Sounds like it's sticking and the actuator can't move it far enough. Wd40 might help.
  2. A/C operation dehumidifies the air but does not mean it should be cold. Should be warm air. What is the temp setting?
  3. Sorry that you're having such bad luck, but it's not accurate to say this happens frequently. Every make can have a lemon from time to time.
  4. I never had to turn mine off in my last 3 vehicles but I do see what you're saying about it being a menu item only. A button would be nice.
  5. I thought that was only for HIDs. Do the non-HIDs also use a single bulb and deflector?
  6. That makes sense. I was thinking that both the low and high beams would be on the same fuse on each side.
  7. Not that I'm aware of. I don't recall anyone else with a similar problem either.
  8. That's strange - you'd think a fuse would take out at least 2 lights, not just one. That's why i didn't suggest checking the fuse. Glad you got it fixed cheap though.
  9. There is no good reason to permanently disable traction control.
  10. My fusion only goes off in one spot where the road dips and turns right and it senses cars in the left turn lane thinking I'm going straight. Other than that no false alarms in almost a year. Might be a flaky sensor.
  11. If it's the SJB I think the dealer can reset it or replace it. I don't remember it being a DIY part. Maybe one of the techs can address it. But definitely try swapping or replacing the bulb first.
  12. Are you sure the bulb is ok? Did you swap it for the other side to be sure? Try that first. If that's not it then it might be the smart junction box. Have you don't any wiring or other modifications recently?
  13. It's been available on the Fusion 1.6L EB for over a year now. It only works in Drive with your foot on the brake after reaching a speed of 3 mph. It shouldn't interfere with remote start. Read the 2013 Fusion owner's manual for more details at motorcraftservice.com.
  14. Sorry about that. I always just type in motorcraftservice.com into Firefox and it works. This one should work. https://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/retail/default.asp
  15. It wasn't a link - you have to type it into the browser. Try this one http://motorcraftservice.com
  16. Please read the owner's manual. It explains all of the lights and warnings you might see in the future. You can view it online at motorcraftservice.com.
  17. Yes, really. Yes it sucks but it's not the end of the world either and it should only be required once.
  18. Car after car after car customers are buying cars with MFT and demanding MFT and the vast majority are perfectly happy with it.
  19. There was no warranty extension. The PCM is the root cause of the coil failures and the PCM is covered by the emissions warranty (8 yrs 80K miles).
  20. Try unpairing the phone, rebooting the phone, doing a Master Reset or disconnecting the negative battery cable, then re-pairing the phone. Also try a different phone if possible.
  21. If your mechanic insists that a bad spark plug can cause the coils to catch fire then I'd find a new one. It is a good idea to go ahead and change the plugs at 72K either way.
  22. Ok, so it's a $400 mp3 player that can be replaced by a $40 64GB usb flash drive as far as sync is concerned. Nothing is ever guaranteed as far as future support for obsolete hardware, especially one that has so little market share. It's ok to be disappointed but there are plenty of options that are orders of magnitude cheaper than getting rid of the vehicle. There is no 'ground' to stand on or principle (not principal) at stake here. There is some compatibility issue with the new software that apparently only affects Zune and Ford isn't going to spend any resources to fix it. Better get used to that because nobody else is going to continue to support it going forward either - probably including Windows. What are you going to do if you buy a new vehicle and get a software update and that car no longer supports Zune? Get a USB drive or 2 for the car or get a new mp3 player. Or get rid of the Edge and throw more money down the drain. Your choice.
