  1. It's a known problem on some vehicles. The bumpers are painted offsite and they're plastic and sometimes they just don't match exactly right. A good body shop can respray the bumpers and it's covered by the warranty.
  2. Could just be me or the lighting but that doesn't look like Tuxedo Black to me - it looks like contamination. Have you compared it to a Tuxedo Black and Ebony vehicle side by side?
  3. This could also just be the common variation in paint shades between the bumper and the rest of the vehicle - you just didn't notice it until now. It's because the bumper is plastic and is painted elsewhere. Once you get the wax cleaned up take it back to the dealer. If it's that noticeable they should repaint the bumper under warranty.
  4. Are you sure it's not just rail dust/contamination? If not then it's covered by the factory warranty.
  5. Don't use Armor all. Just wipe it with a damp cloth and if necessary a mild cleaner.
  6. Don't let other people dictate your color - that's your decision. Just remember that light colors show dirt much less than dark colors. Really dark colors are very hard to keep clean and show swirls and scratches more easily.
  7. Sounds like you need the MFT upgrade. Did you not get a package in the mail?
  8. Please contact Robert and become authorized advertisers or I'll have to start editing/blocking all of your posts. I'm sorry but those are Robert's rules.
  9. Nice! How did you straighten the frame without it being attached to a jig? Or is it attached to the jig and we just can't see it?
  10. Too hard - nobody has tried it.
  11. They don't use special break-in oil but you're correct that the factory blend is sufficient except in extreme temps.
  12. It has certainly been a fiasco but there is no way they're "kicking it to the curb". They're already working on the next generation using Windows 8. And I'm sure it will require a new, faster APIM with more memory (it is windoze after all).
  13. You don't have to - just take it back to the dealer.
  14. You probably just need a new APIM. It has happened to others and a new one (or two in some cases) fixes it. (I deleted the duplicate posts)
  15. He already did - that's the problem. You need to find out if it's a Ford system or non-Ford aftermarket system. Not sure how to tell the difference if it's not obvious. Did you check the glove box for a user's guide?
  16. First, 45-50 mph is not anywhere close to the EPA definition of City driving. It's closer to the highway cycle. You'll almost always get better mpg at 50 mph than at 75. That said, your mileage sounds way low and sooty tailpipes could indicate a problem. What was your last vehicle (specifically) and what was your average mpg with that vehicle?
  17. Sometimes they charge you for new rotors instead of turning them and sometimes they include new or rebuilt calipers. Maybe they were quoting all 4 wheels instead of just 2? Or maybe they were just ripping you off in general.
  18. I thought you could only send pre-defined text message replies with voice commands. Are you saying you could type a new custom message before? Are you sure it's allowing you to type text and not asking for the phone number to send the message to? If it's supposed to be text then you would use the same method you use to send text on non-smart phones. You press each number 1-4 times and it cycles through the letters on each button. e.g. to send a "C" you would hit the #2 button 3 times quickly.
  19. Who said you could shop at my Target?
  20. Congrats. The VIN etching is just something the sales manager decided to include by default in the buyer's order hoping to force more customers to buy it. I despise those practices but it's good your salesman was up front about it and didn't try to sell you on it. It is true that your private cash offer is in VINcent - you don't actually need the physical coupon. In fact even if you have the coupon if it's not in the system you can't get it.
  21. No, it's not. But the emphasis is now on fuel economy and the performance version will be the MKX.
  22. See post #2. Where did you buy it and why would you assume it would work?
