  1. If they didn't, I'd be happy to help anyone up north
  2. Oh man I needed that. I laughed to myself quite a bit over that line. Thanks Dingo.
  3. were friendly with a dealer owner here in NJ. I just bought one to replace a scratched rim, cost me a little over $600. with tax. Not bad, since that's what remanufactured wheels are going for on ebay. if you'd like, i can ask the next time we see him what he'd do on a group order.
  4. It'll get better Dave. There's a rewrite of the software coming in the spring I'm told, and it's supposed to be MFT the way MFT was originally conceived.
  5. So glad to hear your enjoying your edge. I'm nearing my 1 year anniversary and I like it as much as the first time I laid eyes on a white Sport. Motor on!
  6. Can it be the seat? I believe that someone else had this issue, did you do a search of the forums for "squeak"? I returned a hundred threads when I searched.
  7. Sure thing.... from Mothers to Migliore if it's out there I can get it. There's a great detailing forum that one of our members turned me onto call live2detail and it's very informative.
  8. Hey Ant, No matter which model you get you'll love it. The bells and whistles included in the Edge are great, so don't short yourself too much if you can negotiate a deal on a leftover 2011 that's up model, like a limited. I wouldn't say stay away fromMFT. It's getting better with every bug fix and there are a host of great features in it. Once the new software for MFT is complete I'm sure it will be a major reselling point in the future. Just things to think about. We live in northern nj and purchased a 2011 FWD Explorer for my wife. We figured that all the primary and secondary roads that she drives on are always plowed by the time she gets on the road, plus we never had a problem in 3 years with her FWD Lexus ES350. My Sport is AWD and I wish I purchased a FWD. I did get a fabulous deal though since I bought off the lot. Your choice either way, but either way you'll be fine.
  9. You may have the bulb upside down as well. This would also give you a funky beam pattern.
  10. I like it. I guess I never really paid mind to it on my white Sport, but now that you pointed it out, I'll probably have mine painted to match the rest of the bumper. Maybe have them get rid of the two small holes I have plugged where the plate was at the same time.
  11. Do you have a ford dealer network nearby? I would go and ask them if they will honor your vehicles warranty, I can't see why they wouldn't. Yes the rim corrosion is under warranty. My 2011 had the same problem and the dealership removed the tires, cleaned the rims, the tire bead, and remounted and balanced all four wheels. Problem stopped after that.
  12. 2.11 is the newest available, but my service manager told me that sometime in early spring 2012 an entirely new ground up re write will be available from the dealership network. I wouldn't worry too much as most of the worst problems were experienced by us early adopters who bought out trucks as soon as they landed at dealerships. There have been many bug fixes over the last year which made MFT more stable and quicker acting.
  13. Can you clearly hear it inside the cabin? Or is it def outside?
  14. I remember reading a thread that compared all the long term Esp warranties and their pricing. Some forum members picked them up online vs buying them at their dealership and saved hundreds. Search for it, it may save you a few dollars for the same exact coverage plan.
  15. Great product. I actually sell all of the car pro products as well as 100's of other detailing products. If anyone needs something, or wants to get together a group buy, then send me a pm.
  16. Be careful using baby wipes on treated leather. Theyre ingredients are meant to neutralize the uric acid in duh..... Urine. This makes them very basic, which is not so good for cleaning leather which prefers a ph neutral cleaner or conditioner.
  17. I guess most people who are purchasing the edge are young couples just starting out in life or just having their first child, or the other end of the spectrum, empty nesters who don't want to drive a grand marquis or equivelant... Actually there's probably a ton of thirty something's who don't fit a category that are driving them as well. Never the less, I'm sure ford wasn't expecting the "boy racer" types looking to trick out their crossover. I'm not saying it doesn't provide a great platform to start from, I personally think its a great looking vehicle. But at this point in my life (newly married, toddlers in car seats) its not a priority. I think the aftermarket realizes this and looks toward their target vehicles like subarus WRX line, Mitubishis lancer line ...etc. that younger adults are buying in droves and spending bucu $$$ customizing. Exhausts, CAI's, wheels, HIDs, theyre all easy to cross over from type of vehicle to the next. But the more specialized stuff like grills and ground effects (are they still called ground effects)? There's probably no market for.
  18. We roll ours up. It's not practical to have in the car all the time, so it lives in a plastic cover in our attic until its needed. Traveling with it is no problem because there is plenty of room for other stuff either on top of it, or next to it.
  19. I've had terrific luck with ddmtuning.com's HIDs. They're under $50 and theyre simple to install, no cutting or customizing the bulb at all. The digital slim ballast is the smallest I've owned, never any problems hiding it. Plus replacement bulbs can be purchased at the same time for a few bucks. I bought the 9006 build with 55w slim ballast in 5000k. Very clear and bright, absolutely no blue tint to them. Also added their harness which has a relay and fuse on it.
  20. Yes , everything was done under warranty when it went in for MFT update. They told me that these rims and tire beads need to be really clen to get a good airtight seal, seems to be working fine now.
  21. Hey congrats! It's the best, and most agonizing feeling waiting for and anticipating the arrival of your new vehicle. Best of luck, you're going to love it.
  22. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelMake=Sport+Edition&wheelModel=SE-15&wheelFinish=Silver+Painted Yeah cool, I can see it...little paint job with tuxedo black. These would be great to mount a set of snows on too.
  23. Dingo, you might need to sleep on the passenger side and boost everything up level with the folded passenger seat. Maybe sleep backwards and put your feet on the folded chair top?
  24. Not sure which model you have, but Pro charger has a 3.7 l mustang kit. My friends performance shop was offered one to test fit on my Sport, but we need to do a lot more research before signing on to try this. Drive train strength is the single biggest concern. http://www.procharger.com/2011_v6_mustang.shtml http://www.google.com/search?q=procharger+3.7+mustang&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari#q=procharger+3.7+mustang&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=u&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=vid&sa=X&ei=siSiTta-OYLu0gG_7tGRBQ&ved=0CEYQqwQ&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=5ebe34d05ae1499b&biw=768&bih=946 What are the parts you'd like to see out there?
