ive used DDMTUNING.com for a few years, never a failure, never a problem. And at $45. For a slim 55w slim kit, how do you go wrong. Never waited more than a week to get them either. The 9006 kit in my Sport went in easy, and hasn't missed a beat with the automatic headlights. it's a no brainer to buy their wiring harness for only $12.50, it's already fused and has a relay. I have pics posted of my beam patterns and light.

calculate it yourself using your trip odometer and gallons used. I'm a geek, so I always keep a log on gas mileage. Currently using ACar app on my Android phone, I note the cars calculation vs mine, its usually pretty close.

dual turbo 4? I'd happily have payed a premium for the 3.5 ecoboost with 365HP.

Pulsating HID's
Edgieguy replied to Mystichrome's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
That's a problem I've never experienced with aftermarket HID kits. Sometimes (most often) a poor ground wire will cause weird things to happen. Like, one light out, one light on, alternating back and forth.... This sounds like bad voltage regulation. Can you return them to the seller? I've used DDMTuning exclusively and I've never had an issue with any of the kits I purchased (also around the $45 price point). I you are unable to return it, You might also want to try replacing the relay that's on the harness. Hope this gives you some ideas. -
This is exactly what happened to my wife's brand new Explorer. Fuse 29 is no good for this. We brought it back to the dealer and they had to re-flash MFT. It was done in an hour and a half. No issues since.

Awesome. Ill be looking for ya on the GSP and TPK! Best of luck!

07-10 use all the same brake lines, earls and others have edge specific lines. Or you can have them made as i did at a local speed or hydraulic shop. Cross drilled rotors hold a lot of stress from manufacturing, so if you go this route, make you buy a good brand and not some ebay crap. itll save you cracked rotors and ruined pads a few months after installing them. Usually with the SS lines, and better pads, you wont need the cooling that slots and cross drills provide. I regularly track an MR2 Turbo and that beats the piss out of the brakes and pads and i run solid OEM rotors and they perform great.

2011 Edge Brake Performance Tests
Edgieguy replied to cal3thousand's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
On our 2008 Limited, I changed out the stock pads for a pad with more bite, I also changed out the rubber brake lines with stainless steel braided ones. Since everything was changed, I also used a high quality brake fluid. It all added up to very good brakes. -
All MFT updates are FREE of charge through January 2012. This applies to the new Explorer as well

I need to get 2.8. Im having more and more issues with MFT everyday

2011 Ford Edge HID kit
Edgieguy replied to jsabia85's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
II posted photos when I did my HIDs. -
I'll say it. I don't like my Ford Edge Sport. I love it! Sure, I've had MFT issues. Do I love my Edge any less? nope! Would I buy it all over again? Absolutely, in a second. I've enjoyed driving this Edge more than any other SUV I've owned or driven period. I like our 2011 Explorer, but I love my Edge. It's probably not for everyone, that's okay, me though... I wouldn't want anything else. UPDATE: I'm rapidly approaching my 1st anniversary of having my Sport. All in all the Car-mance has yet to end. Sure, we still have our differences. I ask MFT to dial someone and she dials someone else, but were working out our problems with each visit to the Dealer, they're like therapy sessions. Aside from an unfortunate instance where a friend curbed my driverside front wheel, I've had terrific luck with this vehicle. Almost a year and I find myself still sneaking peaks at it over my shoulder, or across a parking lot. My wife still thinks I'm crazy and i'd say at times she's a little jealous of the attention I give my ride. (This got much better once I got her a new Explorer to call her own). If anyone is on the fence, I would buy this vehicle all over again.

2011 Ford Edge HID kit
Edgieguy replied to jsabia85's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
it is possible that you put the bulbs in upside down. I would take them out and try to re-place them back into the housing. I noticed when I was putting my bulbs in that I was able to get them in and only catch 2 of the 3 tabs .the only reason I knew they were in wrong was because I had a funky beam pattern . -
Advice or tips for a good rain beading coat
Edgieguy replied to jdconn01's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
I too will be sealing my new Edge with CQuartz. I do plan on also topping it with a synthetic wax to prolong its life since my truck sits outside all the time, mostly in direct sunlight. Live2detail is an excellent source to do a lot of research and reading on products. I will also be testing out nano diamond shield and will report on how it holds up in the next few months. -
2011 Kona Blue Edge Sport owner checking in
Edgieguy replied to KonaBlueSport's topic in Welcome Forum!
Well, that's got to be worth some free swag for you. Maybe a free service card? They gave me one when I bought mine and then brought another guy in. -
I know some formats are smaller than others allowing you to hold a lot more music on a USB, what format is everyone using? Mp3?

N matter how many I see instill love looking at them. Congrats, you're gonna love this rig, it's so much fun to drive, and it'll definitely turn heads.

2011 Kona Blue Edge Sport owner checking in
Edgieguy replied to KonaBlueSport's topic in Welcome Forum!
Congrats! Yes they are. The first we had ours we were at dinner and it was close enough that I could see it. Several people stopped, looked, snapped a cellphone picture, then I got in trouble for staring at my car instead of my wife..... Enjoy, it's a great ride. -
Question on the AC Control
Edgieguy replied to Surge9609's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
SSo the question remains, how can you "vent" without using ac, and obviously, not opening the windows? -
Maps need more street detail at lower zoom
Edgieguy replied to Danbel's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Danbel, I see youre In NY... If you change your view setting, do you get the 3D imagery we all saw and loved in the Edge commercials. -
wow that looks horrible. are you sure that nothing was spilled on the paint?

Sadly I guess anyway you cut it, moving a 2+ ton vehicle shaped like a block at 75mph+ speeds isn't going to net you the awesome mileage you'd get from a sleeker lighter sedan. I'm rather satisfied to be getting 20+ Mpg on a barely broken in 4200 mile engine making 305HP and rolling huge blingy wheels with AWD on a shorter commute which doesn't bode well for fuel economy to begin with. Do I expect to see the 23 stated on the window sticker? I guess maybe on an all hiway trip, alone, with no cargo, doing the speed limit, in cool weather with properly inflated tires and cruise control on.... but realistically, I probably won't. I won't be devastated either if the best I ever get is what I'm getting now.

Question on the AC Control
Edgieguy replied to Surge9609's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
i have the same question. Used to be that car hvac controls always had a "vent" feature that allowed you to just let in outside air, not heated, not cooled, just outside air. The dealer told me that by using the windshield defrost setting that it would allow outside air in. He then showed me that my ac light was not lit so the ac wasnt on...Duh! So since it was our first beautiful 75* day, I felt the chilled air coming from the vent, and asked "if the ac isnt on, regardless of what the button shows, why is this air cold when its warm outside?" No response. He just reiterated, if the ac button isn't lit, the ac isn't on. I think he's full of sh*t, but didn't feel like arguing. So if anyone can help, I too am all ears. -
Very nice. Thanks for taking the time to take pics, and post up a write up for anyone who mightve missed it first time on the older models.
