  1. What is the production date for your Edge? Check it out on https://www.etis.ford.comwith your VIN if you do not know. I think it was recall 15B21 that addresses leaks on the '15s. There's a thread on it somewhere ... http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18423-post-15b21-leak-repair-follow-up-report/ http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18110-water-leak-help/
  2. Chain https://secure.revolutionparts.com/levittown-ford/ford/edge/cm5z6a895a/2016-year/titanium-trim/2-0l-l4-gas-engine/engine-cat/engine-parts-scat/?part_name=chain
  3. I suppose you could have the valve body examined/cleaned out while the sensors are being done. You just did the trans fluid recently, right? Have it completely replaced if not.
  4. SERIOUSLY??? WTF!!! Probably overfilled the transmission. Hope they give it back to you all cleaned up.

  6. Bought a COP & spark plug kit, OEM/Ford, BA5Z-12259-A, for a pretty good price from Levittown: https://secure.revolutionparts.com/levittown-ford/oe-ford/ba5z12259a Works for the 2010-12 Fusion Sport as well, in case you are wondering.
  7. Looks like they should fit http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/8406-20-taurus-sho-wheels/ Should be able to get OEM TPMS sensors off EBay for reasonable cost, but you do have to train them afterwards. Or if you are having a shop install the wheels, buy sensors from them, and let them install & train the sensors.
  8. Sounds like the engine is extremely sludged up. Need to have a pro flush it for you, get clean oil in there, then re-evaluate. I wouldn't try to crank the engine the normal way. I would see if the crankshaft can be manually rotated, after the flush.
  9. Well, that part number shows applications for 2015-2016 3.5 V6 in the dealer catalog. Doesn't say when an A part went to a B part. On EBay, the A part shows applications for 2011-14 Explorer, Edge, Flex, F150. http://www.ebay.com/itm/11-12-13-14-EXPLORER-EDGE-FLEX-F-150-THROTTLE-BODY-ASSEMBLY-AT4Z9E926A-/222105436388
  10. You can decide for yourself, PC Savior, but because of the extensive stopngo driving I do, I follow the Special Operating Conditions OCI rather than the Normal Service OCI. So far I have found the Motorcraft oil & filter as recommended in the manual to be quite good for fuel economy.
  11. Probably Mexico, quite a few parts come from there. Again, as far as the customer is concerned, it's still Ford's responsibility regardless of parts origin. They should've QC'd these things better. The same factory can produce widely different quality of parts, depending on their customer requirements. Contrary to what the modern generation believes, not everything can be managed remotely, gotta have some handson time, and sweat the sweat.
  12. I do not have the answer in this particular case, but for a long time, when an electronic sensor stopped working properly, the PCM (or ECU) has been programmed to have a fallback, default value/behavior. Not unlike jumper settings on older computer motherboards, now pretty much jumperless, but same logic. Today, they might call it the "limp-home" mode. If the engine overheats, for example, then the PCM is programmed to run the V6 like a V3 (?) basically and use air cooling to save the engine.
  13. Sounds like a problem with the electronic controls/sensors, I think in other cases they did troubleshoot that + the wiring to no avail. Almost like failsafe mode? Could be the throttle body, could be TSS/OSS sensors, just about anything. Fingers crossed the dealership finds something simple like faulty wheel speed sensors or loose connectors at the PCM. You can try contacting the Cust Svc reps @FordService on Twitter. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/12199-2011-edge-limited-driver-door-ajar-issue/page-6?do=findComment&comment=152337 EDIT: If you wanted to try your hand at diagnostics, I would get a program like ForScan up & running on a smartphone/tablet, pair it with a Bluetooth OBD adapter, read any codes, and log as many parameters as I could for engine/trans, hopefully to catch the event happening.
  14. PTU seals being done under warranty?
  15. Do you perform oil changes yourself? Was the oil at FULL last time you checked/had it serviced? Any oil in the coolant (water pump, head gasket, block failures)? If there are any signs of oil in the coolant, the Edge needs to be put in the shop right away for repairs. If coolant looks clean, and there are no leaks from underneath the engine, check oil level, add some fresh oil till it comes up to the full mark before starting the Edge and driving it. If there is sludge buildup, it should be easily visible through the oil filler hole. You will notice golden yellowing & deposits everywhere.
  16. Which engine, 2.0 EB/2.7EB or 3.5L? The stalling issues noted so far on the 2015s have been on the 3.5L, and presumably are fixed by a TSB that performs PCM recalibration.
  17. For reference, TSB 07-21-11 & code P0720 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/15231-anyone-had-a-problem-with-mkx-2008-accelerating-out-of-first-gear/?do=findComment&comment=116195
  18. I would be towing it, TBH. But driving it carefully, with hazards on, 1 mile in a safe area should be ok. I would suggest a KAM reset but I don't think that will help at this juncture. An independent mechanic should also cost less than the dealer for the repair/replacement. Be sure to put Mercon V in the trans.
  19. You might have better luck on Twitter @FordService. Don't know what has happened to the representation on this forum in recent months.
  20. Dealerships have been known to bungle easy repairs sometimes, so we don't know for sure the TSS/OSS sensors would not have fixed the issue for the poster above. I would not delay, take it to your independent mechanic to get the sensors (and all of the trans fluid) replaced. This is a pretty serious issue having gotten to the point of showing the error.
  21. Definitely sounds like a TSS/OSS replacement could help. The fact that a restart seemed to "cure" the symptoms gives it some weight.
