Are these specific to the 11-13 Edges or will they work for prior years as well? I would really like to have a dual intensity option: 1 for "regular" light level (backing up in a parking lot etc where really don't need much light), and 1 for "intense" light level for situations as illustrated above.

Maybe you could put some lightly tinted film over the sensor? I don't have MFT, so I can't speak to this directly. But it seems there are sensitivity level settings through MFT for other lighting functions for the headlamps. Worth a look? Those should be correct then. I think they are rated at 2,350 lumens or some such figure, so light should be pretty good. After that, it's the housing design that has to work with the light source.

Did you try the PX20D Philips HIR1 from candlepower.com or EBay? The Philips HIR1 on Amazon supposedly is not a "true" HIR1.

OSRAM Night Breaker Plus bulbs are also quite good (have them on my Edge), and are available in 9006 spec for about $42/pair. Can buy directly off of the mega auction site.

Looks heavy duty, Dingo. How did you settle on the specs, and where did you source it from? I found 1 listing on EBay, and another brand (NTE) on Amazon & Radioshack with the exact specs.
