  1. I use the standard Windows 7 landscape series. Pretty good. When I get bored, I will put my own (amateurish tho it may be) photo work into service.
  2. Congrats on your new ride, and welcome to the forum. Great mileage report. Hope it continues into perpetuity :D
  3. You can lookup the info in the Owners Manual and see if that helps. http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pubs/content/~WO8EDG/~MUS~LEN/40/08edgog1e.pdf That is the 2008 manual. Starting on pg 256, the fuses and what they control are listed. http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pubs/content/~WOBEDG/~MUS~LEN/40/11edgog2e.pdf That is the 2011 manual. Starting on pg 283, the fuses and what they control are listed. HTH.
  4. Welcome! Right place to be to share experiences and to learn. Please post pics when u get a chance
  5. Welcome! Would be cool to have more insight into your ownership experience. Pics?
  6. Maybe the Edge will get its' turn at the modding table when Ford sees interest from us in doing so. I mean they are doing souped up versions of their cars, so no reason why trucks should be excluded. A letter-writing campaign (and a prolonged one) could help in making Ford see the light.
  7. Maybe people are just too busy enjoying their rides or prepping for winter?
  8. Welcome Brandon. The most recent conversations have centered around Cold Air Intake and Swaybar options for the Edge. Of course, people would like to go further with custom tunes & other performance enhancements that are taken for granted on sports cars. Oh, and if we could tune to have a choice between running ECONOMY or PERFORMANCE modes, that would be awesome!
  9. Score one for HIE! :hysterical2: I had spilled a full can of Coca Cola all over my cellphone (which was on, of course) 10+ years ago. I powered it off immediately, wiped it down and dried it as best I could. Then checked the battery compartment, and turned it on. No problems. Been working like a champ ever since. Probably will have gunk internally if dissected though.
  10. You'd think, right? Maybe they had other pressing matters, so they just inserted a check into a subroutine somewhere. Plenty of programming is nowadays done that way, very sloppy. I only had to post, you had to persist. Bravo!
  11. I was pointed to Live2Detail.com after reading several detailing posts on this forum. Check out the Ask A Detailer thread here. Some tips that I can remember: Wash microfiber stuff by itself, don't mix in with other types. Wash before first use to get rid of anything embedded in the towel (yes, even though new). Also helps it fluff up and work better. I think hot water setting is fine for wash. No bleach or fabric softeners. There are various MF specific detergents available if you want to try them, $8-$10/16 oz. Generally, takes 1 capful for light to medium loads and 2 capfuls for heavy loads. Dry until lightly damp and hang on rack for final drying (ideally). Just don't use an extended or HOT drying cycle. Apply minimum pressure to surfaces to get job done. Work in straight lines. Do not "scrub" with towel (on painted surfaces anyway).
  12. I get the "Product not available ..." message when trying to Add to Cart. Have tried this for ZIPs up and down the East Coast. So, not sure whether they really are sold out or AA put in some temporary patch for the website to prevent ordering at that price.
  13. I am hoping that people saw it and just did not post back? I don't know if there was a better way to advertise it? Anyways, most welcome!
  14. Turbo? Hope you will still check back in from time to time, and good luck.
  15. Hey computers and technology ... same story. Not to feel bad at all! I guess these kind of things give engineers some creative freedom!
  16. ya, looks like they've clamped down on it in our area as well. Not able to add to cart at all (grayed out). Oh well, good while it lasted
  17. Not sure, have not had to do so myself on this particular vehicle.
  18. Do you have a CEL or wrench light or service light on at all? From the description given, it tends to be the cam sensor or throttle position sensor, could be a fuel filter etc. Time to pull some codes i think.
  19. May get better filter life if using a filter designed for synthetic oil, like Amsoil. They claim: "AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters are guaranteed for up to 15,000 miles/one year, whichever comes first, or 25,000 miles/one year, whichever comes first, depending on application and severity of service." Or maybe try one of the larger Motorcraft filters if they fit on the FL400s threads, to increase performance/extend life. I think FL1A will fit, but not sure. Just ideas 4 u. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1891856&page=1
  20. Wilkommen! I see blue is slowly gaining popularity
  21. Wow! That's one way to prep your car for paint ...
  22. Good insight, Crusty. The particular store I went to, I always had trouble with. I should have just used the store that is real nice to its' customers, just twice the distance and time for me. But I guess worth it!
