  1. AutoZone, Advance Auto, RockAuto, Amazon, pretty much anywhere for rotors. Best to go local store in case of returns.
  2. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/2030-any-aftermarket-brake-pads/ This thread has useful info.
  3. How much do you think such a retrofit would cost? Interested.
  4. I had Akebono ceramics put on a car one time, didn't like the stopping power at all. Those pads came highly recommended, but my personal experience was meh. So I have stuck with Performance Friction Z-rated CM pads for other cars. Probably will wear down the rotors faster, they do dust quite a bit, but they have been there whenever I have needed them to be. Would love to have a true high performance ceramic pad, something that doesn't dust, performs well, and minimizes enviro impact.
  5. Looks good! For those that don't want black (few and far between as they may be), other colors are available also, including white, smoke, clear, blue, orange, yellow, and red.
  6. Total HID n00b here. Just some random thoughts, other than mis-wiring: 1) With the original DDM harness, did the bulb fail to come on only on one side? If so, tried switching sides on the bulbs, and/or harnesses/ballasts? 2) Possibly the DDM setup was drawing too much power when "cold", and you "warmed" them up by auto-on, then switching off, then manual-on again. 3) Too much resistance in the circuit, possibly early warning signs of a short. HTH.
  7. AutoZone or Advance Auto are good starting points. Usually get lifetime warranty on pads, can get lifetime on rotors such as Wagner, tho generally 2 years on rotors. Search for and use coupons online to get parts even cheaper than listed.
  8. Looking to replace the power brake booster in my '07 Edge. As far as I can tell, the OEM part number is 540-00142, and the part is common to the 2007-2010 model years. Does anyone know what the latest revision number is for this part? Is retrofitting the 2011+ booster (supposedly improved) a possibility? TIA.
  9. Welcome! I have seen a Cinnamon Edge around in my neighborhood, and it is a very distinctive color. Good choice!
  10. Good luck with the Passat. I haven't driven one in quite a while, but my driving experience was positive. If you plan on keeping it for a while make sure you have an experienced VW mechanic as a friend for the post-warranty years (same goes for BMW, Mercedes, etc).
  11. This thread may be of use to you: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/11207-emblems/
  12. Nice, thanks! Might have to get one myself. Here's a link from EBay for interested buyers: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-ALLin1-SWITCHBLADE-FLIP-TRANSPONDER-CHIP-KEYLESS-ENTRY-KEY-REMOTE-FREE-PROG-/130687018414 3 button version here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-F150-EDGE-ESCAPE-ALLin1-FLIP-TRANSPONDER-CHIP-KEYLESS-ENTRY-KEY-REMOTE-FOB-/360453606781
  13. Maybe go this route: http://www.jcwhitney.com/frameset/?pl=vt&make=Ford&model=Edge&year=2007 Other retail sites may have options as well.
  14. Very nice. Any plans to add side steps or nerf bars? Those + the body moldings are on my list, for starters.

  16. Thanks for the link. I have been thinking of a project for mine as well, and this will be a great help!
  17. Very nice looking vehicle! How long are these wraps designed to last?
  18. Learned about the notorious cabin air filter problem and fix here. Solutions for other problems, here as well. Add to that all the practical advice on maintenance and modifications, WOW!
  19. Blame it all on Microsoft. Their "production" software is usually deployed as mass-market beta test versions anyway Plus the Throttle Body is electronically controlled. Hmmm ...
  20. Most likely the battery slowly drained down while in rush hour traffic. Alternator did not have enough rpm's on it to keep battery fully charged. Had it been summertime, with the A/C on ... (Yes, I realize there are cobwebs on this thread )
