  1. This thread, among others on this forum, might be useful to you: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/2030-any-aftermarket-brake-pads/
  2. The only interval I have seen mentioned is 150K miles for the automatic transmission fluid. I would guess you would do the same for the rear differential. Normal duty conditions, of course. There is a thread on here how to do it for the 2007-2010 Edges: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/7926-rear-differential-fluid-change-procedure/ HTH.
  3. Found some 921 Creek-based LEDs on EBay. Similar to these, but from another seller: http://www.ebay.com/...b-/280993575923 Seem to be pretty bright, don't have a fair comparison with 921 incandescents, because those bulbs already had a lot of miles on them. The base did not sink in as deep as I would have liked, since the socket is quite tall comparatively speaking. Now to see about their longevity/durability in use. May replace other lights with LEDs, but they are more "continuous use" and I don't want to blind anyone behind me, stopping and turning, etc.
  4. Soon to be replaced by cameras and projector beams! Could we have a world without mirrors?
  5. Makes your Edge stand out in a good way, KingMike. What I really want to do on mine is to get a honeycomb grille like the Taurus SHOs/Police Interceptors have, with the chrome (or black) surround.
  6. http://sprintbooster.us/ Listed in one of the last comment pages for the video. No personal exp with it. Installation Guide here: http://www.sprintboostersales.com/instructions/SPR2232_instr.pdf
  7. Sorry to hear about your Edge. Hope your CR-V will be good to you. The last one I rode in/drove (someone else's) had over 200K+miles on it (mostly highway) with little maintenance, and the interior looked quite good.
  8. I have the basic mirrors right now, no function other than power adjustment, no puddle lights either (tho I am ok with that for now). Approximate cost of upgrade, and would I have to take off my existing mirrors/ship them to you? Thanks.
  9. Pretty neat! How much work was it, and did you "borrow" the parts from the Ford family? Do you know if it is possible to do at least the heated/signal functions on an '07? TIA.
  10. Could certainly offer it thru SVT Performance/accessory store or something, rather than factory direct. Not the best solution, but better than nothing.
  11. Welcome. Post pics when you get a chance
  12. Welcome! Looks sweet! Pics of lights on/off?

  14. Great writeup. Thanks EdgieGuy and richy! I plan to use this method for washing/claying first, just to see how it goes. Then at a later date the polishing (looking to buy the PC DA) & waxing/sealing.
  15. Have your turbo checked, they may be using too much oil. The GDI system MAY also be contributing to the black soot, but not necessarily.
  16. Haven't tried these myself, but these have good reviews also: http://www.amazon.com/2825-5-SMD-White-Power-Lights/dp/B005ETCIO8/
  17. Do it like the big names in lighting do. Use PhotoShop!
  18. Welcome! This forum was very helpful to me when deciding yes/no on an Edge. Hopefully you will find it to be the same.
  19. Awful thing to happen, coulda happened to anyone. Hang in there!
  20. Nice work. What are your objectives with this install, how did you choose the components, and how do you plan to isolate them from noise & vibration? Looking forward to the progress pics!
  21. Need to compare the crossover/equalization specs/capabilities of the factory and aftermarket units to see where the difference might be. Besides that, in general, every amp is going to have its own sound profile, due to the many components involved in both the digital and analog stages. Just look up all the crazy talk on audiophilia on the 'net
