  1. Awesome, I might have to make the switch too. Did you go with the HP24 version? Just wondering how bright these were compared to the VLED ones.
  2. Hey Candurin, Do you still get the erratic switchback behavior with these bulbs as you did before? I know we were both posting about the same issue where they would flash white them switch to amber sporadically when the turn signal was on. -Russ
  3. I'm still going to try and find another dealer who can help me. As for the key, I haven't tried anywhere else besides HD but I think my local Lowes has the automated key cutting machine and I'm not sure they have another one. Going to try the true value in town, I think they'll be able to cut it for me. Didn't even think of Walmart actually, but they are right around the corner as well so I'll keep them in mind.
  4. I just installed my unit and I can't say how easy it actually was! 20 minutes and I was done. I tried to get the key cut at Home Depot but the guy there said he wasn't allowed to do it and he would have no way of charging me. I said "just charge me for one of your blanks and I'll take a blank key home or you can keep it" sorry I can't help you..... Also tried calling a few dealers around me, Northern NJ, and none of them actually perform this themselves. Rather they hire someone else to do it and basically everyone quited me $100 just for the activation and another $100 to cut the key. $100 to cut a key really.... Gonna go to the local hardware store but I don't see any way around the $100 activation charge without driving really far to get to a dealer. I gotta say that it's kinda dissapointing being charged so much for 15 minutes worth of labor. -Russ
  5. I'm interested in the sill plates. What are you looking for? I'm in Northern NJ. -Russ
  6. 2014WhiteEdgeSport - I use 3mm hub centric spacers. 5mm would work as well but you don't need the extra clearance. The spacers were hard to find but I got them from motorsport-tech.com . Their website listed the incorrect hub size so I called and they had the right size in their records. They will make them any size you need really.
  7. I have the Explorer Sport wheels on my '11 Edge and the fronts rubbed against the calipers due to the concave design. I believe that the SHO wheels are slightly concave as well where the oem wheels on the Edge are more flush in design.
  8. That's fantastic! Thanks so much for your help. Those instrustions say to cut & program the new keys before installing the rmst but I can do that afterwards correct? Figured I had to have Ford turn the remote start on anyway so might as well have them cut the keys there too (unless they charge too much). -Russ
  9. Perfect, thanks again! I actually found another seller for the same kit but with only one key which is even better. I really only need one key with the remote feature and then it's one less key to have cut. Now all I have to do is connect this antenna to the TPMS in the LH rear panel and have the system activated? That seems too too easy!
  10. That's awesome, probably fits my needs better since I won't have to pay $50 a year for the data plan! Does anyone know how much the dealer would charge to cut two new keys?
  11. So I've been looking at the smartphone ones but haven't bought one yet. While looking though I found a One Way remote start on ebay as well which says it fits my '11 Edge. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OEM-ONE-WAY-REMOTE-START-KIT-2011-2015-FORD-F150-EDGE-F250-F350-F450-F550-SD-/231419964770?hash=item35e1b46d62&vxp=mtr My question though is that this kit only seems to have an antenna and no unit which would look like a remote start. Would this actually work in the Edge by just installing the antenna? Seems too good to be true but for $235 and it comes with two new remotes might be worth it. I don't really need the smartphone start and this would save me $50 a year on the data plan. Thanks, -Russ
  12. I'm looking into buying one from this seller as well and had a question on the data plan for the vehicle. I assume that this is available through Ford but wanted to see how you handled the data service. Alternatively, I would typically use this to start my car in the driveway which is within reach of my home wifi. I wonder if you could use that signal somehow instead of the 3G data plan? -Russ
  13. Thanks a lot! I wonder how much Ford would charge to turn the option on. It's looking more like a $500 option plus the yearly subscription but having the app would be awesome but gotta see. Definately going to keep an eye on ebay to maybe find a unit for a little chepaer and do some parts digging! -Russ
  14. Hey TRMN8TR, could you send a link to the one you used? I'm looking into this now and having smart phone access would be awesome! Thanks, -Russ
  15. Are the sills still for sale? I'm in Jersey and might be able to pick up or meet. Also, not sure if he has enough posts to reply to a PM. Think it's 50, which is very strange. I ended up posting a bunch of random stuff int he test forum just to get up to 50. -Russ
  16. I was looking at Auto anything and ran accross the Jet Powew-Flow Mass Air sensor for my '11 SEL. http://www.autoanything.com/air-intakes/61A1951A0A0.aspx They claim power and mpg increases but what do you all think? Has anyone tried this one or anything like it? Just curious if it's worth it for mpg increases but I'm pretty sure it might be a bust. -Russ
  17. I think 22 mpg is actually pretty good! I'm struggling to keep 22 mpg's with the 20" Ford Explorer Sport wheels. I think these wheels are farily heavy as well. Even on long road trips it the MPG's aren't dramatically different for me.
  18. I have a '11 Edge SEL AWD and have been looking into purchasing a waverunner lately but before I did I wanted to make sure that I would be able to tow it safely. I know that Ford rates the towing capacity @ 3500lbs and the waverunner + trailer is only going to be about 1000 lbs so that shouldn't be a problem. My question is do I need to change anything on my Edge to be able to tow this safely? The Ford tow package includes an upgraded radiator, cooling fans and trailer sway control on top of the receive and wiring harness. Is the cooling and sway control add-ons truly necessary? I'm thinking not but figured I'd do my research before investing. Thanks, -Russ
  19. Without seeing any pictures, I'll give you $125? -Russ
  20. Is this still for sale? If I'm definitely interested. Approximate mileage? Thanks, -Russ
  21. I say plasti dip them first! The anthracite grey would look nice on a black car. I didn't like the chrome-clad on mine so I just dipped them. The plastic chrome is ok for accents and other areas but it definately does not belong on a wheel!! The dip took care of that and is cheaper than a set of wheels & tires. Even if you end up not likeing the plasti dip, just remove it and you're back to square one with no harm. -Russ
  22. Can you confirm the part number because K&N lists two different ones for the 3.5 & 3.7? Pictures might help too.... Thanks, -Russ
  23. Very Nice! Is your Edge lowered or is it just the running boards that make it look so low?
  24. Same thing happens to me. I think it's software as opposed to the physical button sticking because everytime it happens the button is in the center position. It's kinda annoying but don't think there's anything we can do. -Russ
