  1. I went ahead and bought Napas gold filter. 15$. But I'll still buy the kn filter if enough people claim it actually does work well
  2. Anyone put this in their car? I thinking of doing it, found the filter online for 32$. Called 2 dealers to ask them if I void the warranty putting this oil type filter. Both said that it's a GREAT filter and that it would NOT void the warranty. And to be careful on not over oiling it due to sensors fails if you do. So now I'm leaning more into buying it since it does not void the power train warranty. I read tons online and it's about a 50/50 on how good it is but let's in fine dust inside the engine that turns the oil dark. But some claim is the best filter they ever bought, and it has giving then a slight bump in the throttle response and slight 1 or 2 miles a gallon increase. Other said it had given then a slight bump in throttle response but dropped their mpg 1 or 2. So. .. How does it fare on Ford edges? Particularly the 2011 edge se since that's what I have. But any input will be appreciated. Thank you.
  3. Wait! can can you please describe the symptoms to the tee please.and how was the master found in good condition?
  4. Yeah. Catalytic converter is suppose to make water. It's normal. Depending on the humidity, the more it makes.
  5. Good job. Definitely have then look at the Mayer just in case.
  6. Lol. Funny thread. I always wondered if it's really worth adding these additives to the fuel system. What do you all think. Is it worth adding these or should got may go and give your money away for free? I hear it can damage stuff. Has there been any tests done of this or is it all speculation?
  7. I get a little. ............... Over 29 mpg on a good Highway drive. I tried my hardest to get 30mpg. It's a no go. Then I realized this car can get the best miles going at 64 mph. That's the best I got to 29mpg. I have the fwd se.
  8. Well. .. browsing thru the threads I came across this one. Thx god we haven't heard of another case like this.
  9. You know ñ I've seen the edges on the street with these wheels. And I can tell you that I don't like them. They look like hub caps. The cheap ones from kragen or auto zone. Always disliked them. Aluminum looks better in my opinion.
  10. Hard for me too hear the noiseon the audio clip. But these noises are annoying. Always hard to replicate and narrow down. If you ever find it. . Tell us.

  12. Mehhh... The door says 35 when cold. I took a tip from someone that said to drop it 3 or 4 psi to make the ride smoother. I dropped it to 31psi all around and noticed a audible growl noise later. Put the pressure back to 35psi a month later and now the tires howl in the freeway. Be careful.
  13. I hear that if you use recirculation mode, it makes this happen faster.
  14. Todd, I'm not home but since you are around... Do you know what's the required tranny fluid change milage is for this car? Just curious since dealers refuse warranty work if you don't keep proof of service. I'm at 64k.
  15. Yup. I didn't want to scare the member. But it's fluid loss somewhere. Chances of the master are high. Seeping into the booster. I wonder if he takes it to the dealer for the booster but gets refused because of the leak? I can see the dealer putting that argument. " sir, it's $72,000 dollar to repair. Your master cylinder ate the diaphragm on the booster. Is not covered no more, just covered in bake fluid. "
  16. That's not bad I guess. I love the power! The sound! Love the car. I managed to get 29mpg straight Highway. To bad I do city driving mostly.
  17. Yeah. .. Just like that. But it should state to ignore words. Not just warning lights. Warning lights to most who don't know a lot would consider the red symbols that glow. On these cars, it's a clear "word" warning on the screen. To me, since it's my first American car... Just concerned me. And I'm not alone. Do a Google search on it. There's plenty of others that got alarmed. Trust me, there's many idiots like myself. Lol
  18. Just a update. I thought of the slushy theory. But actually I think it's super accurate and updates too fast. Maybe that's the issue. If I set it to cruise control, it settles to a number. But if you tap it it changes instantly.
  19. But I don't blame walker, I've never had a good experience with dealers. Always a pain. And they do look at you like a idiot Misty of the time. Lol. My sister was a saturn owner since 1992. Loved her dealer, she claimed she was treated very well by them. Who knows.
  20. Well... I coming from Japanese cars. They all got the idiot light right before start up. This the first time I get a large message saying "low oil pressure". I thought the ecm recorded low oil pressure on the last drive and it freaked me out. When I called the sales guy directly, he said that it sounds bad and to tow it.haha . I know enough of cars that there was oil and it wasn't doing damage. I drove it.
  21. Thank you todd. I'll see when I get a chance to go in.
  22. I agree. But. .. Since I never owned a Ford. I saw it as "no oil." Ignorance in my part. All my other cars never have me a warning like that. I'm used to the oil light coming on briefly to show the cel light working. But that's what I was explained. It's too tell you the pump is working. Lol. Just not a good way too tell you imo. Again. . Doing a Google search. . Lots of others had the same concern and they even took it to the dealer to be told that is normal. One guy said it should be written in the manual in big letter for dummies. Haha
  23. Yup.. Walker. Dealers have such a bad rep. Just like jiffy lube.lol. Don't know why but they just do. When I bought my car, bought it pre certified used. Tom it home and I got scared because that same day I decided to drive it at night. I was so happy with the power. But when I put the key on the on position, I got a low oil warning. But it would go away when I start the car. I never had a Ford, so I got concerned the warning meant something was wrong. So I took the car back the next day and the guy that took me in and asked what's wrong was rude. Just wanted me in and put as fast as he could. Not one smile from him. And I was very polite. I was not surprised because he liked already agitated from the start. But he said all the Ford edges have this warning light. So he took me to another car, a 2012 one. And yes. . It did it as well. So I was relieved. Dumb imo. There Aptos be a programming or warning in the owners manual to ignore the giant "LOW OIL WARNING" at the key on position. But anyways. .. Being a new Ford costumer and my first Ford dealer visit was awful and rude. But I do all my pull changes and diagnostics, so it doesn't bother me. But when warranty work had to be done, im dreading the visit now.
  24. No. .. Don't run the hvoc. Just lots of traffic and some Hills. But jebus! H horrible mpg.
